Thank God I'm not the only one. Wooden spatula is news to me.
It seems each tribe has its own pattern of doing it.

ItsModella: Unwritten rule my azz. It's not an unwritten rule. Different people, different styles/methods of cooking. Using wooden spoon to turn jollof rice is not a good cook undecided undecided

You call it good jollof rice just like the OP would call that sacrifice he is cooking good jollof rice. Maybe you should go to Bank olemoh for some lessons.

grin grin grin see me see trouble o...I don't know when using wooden spoon became an indicator of detecting good jollof rice, person wey no know how to cook jollof, no be wooden/plastic spoon go save am.

I don't think there's a written rule though but it's a norm, so I've seen and heard...Anyway, like u said, if u don't know how to cook, wood or plastic won't save u. I cooked Pasta with mushroom sauce (mildly spicy), with meatballs, I wish I had the pics now to upload...mmmm grin

here, check this map out, look closely between GH. and Naija.....compare grin grin grin grin grin

Boy,

You don't come on a Nigerian platform to spew rubbish.

Going by the chart you placed herein, it's evident that the absolute population of Nigerians living in non slum areas is even greater than the whole of Ghana combined.

Seems you have forgotten so soon that so many Appiah and Mensahs were cobblers on those Nigerian streets before the great Ghana-must-go exodus...

We are here celebrating our nairalander who had the guts to post evidence of his culinary skills online...let's see how you cook that beer-tasting corn mash your 'urban' people devoured with raw pepper when they roamed lagos' streets.

Nahhhh........i use a gas cooker! wink

Which is faster, cleaner, cheaper and more economical (on the long run) than kerosene and firewood.

This makes you pound-wise and smart and not necessarily rich!
