Having just returned from Dubai where i saw a multi-racial society, it got me thinking, we need more non-blacks in Nigerian politics. I want to see Chinese senators, Indian ministers, European governors, Lebanese commissioners and maybe later, an American President to thank them for electing Obama. For now we only have a half-caste governor, Mr Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom state whose mother is from Taiwan. So i will like to encourage non-blacks to participate in Nigerian politics. I have three potential names for consideration- Chief Raymond Zard- An Ibadan high chief from Lebanon Sunil Vaswani- A Lagos based billionaire from India Gilbert Chagoury- A Lebanese/Lagosian multi-billionaire |
