Keshi may have to deploy a 4-3-2-1 formation in the last 2 games because Mikel was simply not at the races today undecided

I'm absolutely gutted with Super Eagles' performance today.

They played no better than a pub team, to be honest.

They need to do something about the team and team selection.

You can never please an average Nigerian.

Must we complain about everything? Lets take this in good faith and hope the team gets better in subsequent matches.

Should not forget the SE arrived in Brazil Yesterday morning so they probably have got little time training together.

Mark my word, we all shall see an improved SE against Uruguay!

Nigerians should givve these guys a break...they got to Brazil by 2am, they didn't even train, and yet they were able to score 6-1

Don't forget, this team is a new team...half of them didn't play in AFCON, e.g Oduamadi so they're new with each other.

Y'all should give them a break abeg...half of the people beefing them couldn't even make their primary school team

With this very disappointing match, we might have been out of this tournament already. We should have scored up to 10 goals at least. The only way we can make up for this error is to beat uruguay. If we play draw against Uruguay we are out cos Spain will beat us, (unless there is a surprise) and Uruguay will score more goals against Tahiti. So Uruguay will proceed to the next stage on goals advantage. Our guys missed 4 clear chances and 3 other narrow chances... It was just too stupid.

I feel for Brown Ideye, when he plays for Nigeria he gives assists, hustles alot on the pitch, does everything well except scoring. He shouldn't worry though, very soon goals will start looking for him, he'll find himself scoring even when he doesn't want to score.

We thank God for this victory and the three points! I also thank God that our first match was against Tahiti! Considering our next opponents, we really need to work on our finishing. Ideye, Musa and Ujah were embarrassingly profligate!

Symphony007: It is shamefull that this island country actually scored a goal. The team is made up of teachers and cleaner, ony one of them there is a proffesional footballer, they never set out to win, that one goal was their aim and nigeria conceded it. How shamefull....first in history, a team of amatuers scored a goal against a proffesional football team.

You are really stup.id and ignorant. Were the Green Eagles team of the 70s and 80s not amateurs? Did they not score against professional teams like Czechoslovakia, Russia etc back in those days? Do teams like England not regularly concede goals against San Marino, Andorra, Azerbajian and so on? If you don't know football just SHUT THE FCK UP. IDIATT.

When will people say when Spain fail to score up to 6 against Tahiti? Remember they will spend most of the match passing the ball around their own half.

do you know that mikel is the foundation of nigerian midfield, works all the passes and defends as well. Without mikel the midfield is porous.
