bboiabb: people don't fear..bolivia won uruguay 4-1 not too long ago. so, they are CERTAINLY beatable. I know Nigeria will sit up when playing uruguay. SE know uruguayan players more than tahiti players so they know who exactly to mark accordingly. We will probably defend and counter attack and we know uruguayan defenders are quite slow, so speed will be our friend in that game

Nigeria till i die

Nigeria will demolish Uruguay. You heard it here first.

beewhyfocs: You can never please an average Nigerian.

Must we complain about everything? Lets take this in good faith and hope the team gets better in subsequent matches.

Should not forget the SE arrived in Brazil Yesterday morning so they probably have got little time training together.

Mark my word, we all shall see an improved SE against Uruguay!

collynzo2: Comment from a South African on kickoff.com.
Steven Keshi( Congra this is coming from a South
african, Your Boys didn't have time to adjust) They
Played in diFfrent Time Zones in 2 Days. Took a
Long flight from South africa to Rio Then took
another One Bell Horizonte! Just had a warm for a
couple of Hours!) And still Beat Tahiti 6-1!! That's Excellence!!! Congra "Boss Keshi ! Boss Ke wena"
as for your Country Men who always complain for
nothing I suspect its all base to pure social Jealosy,
Make them Eat Humbe pie!
IyawoTM:
The battle is still on, i hope the eagles survive this group

I'm just quoting what the experts are saying. I'm happy we won, no doubt. Keshi was interviewed now, and he self claimed that the team played just okay. He also admitted that the team has not rested well blah, blah. All we are saying is that they should take it more serious, if they like make them get 5hrs sleep only. I dey follow them dey chop the millions, properties, and cars wey dem dey get? I'm just amazed when they miss goals like dat, they laugh, Okocha used to do that a lot. Meanwhile other players wen they miss a shot, they r upset. Yes there is no reason crying over spilt milk, but I beg u dey represent people, have a heart! I still say Congrats!

Sometimes I wonder if you're on cocaine. ''They actually played better than Nigeria.'' Yet they lost 6-1. I'll leave that to you and your psychiatrist.

Perhaps, you need to seek help for your acute glaucoma and stop lacing your weed with crack, the pseudo-patriotic one.

When you detox and get your eyes fixed; we shall analyse the game together. undecided

CFCfan: By the way, the Super Eagles are now unbeaten in their last 14 competitive matches.

They are on an 18 match unbeaten run.

The Super Eagles have played 11 matches in this calendar year without defeat cool

Oduamadi is the first African player to score a hat-trick in a senior FIFA tournament.
Cold hard facts!!!

gat2so: Nigeria team is nothin without emenike, onazi, moses,,, hate it or leave it
who are they? Are they 'goals' themselves. Ask yourself; 'who were these guys before Keshi gave them a chance?', 'what did you and others say about Emenike, Onazi when Keshi chose them instead of Odemwingie and Keita?' That answers it 'GIVE THESE GUYS A CHANCE'.

How is keshi the best when we've not sampled all of them (not sayin we should sample, but don't give out medals b4 the competition)

as much as i dislike Mikel inputs during Nigeria matches. He has gradually work himself into my mind, his game has really improved, he makes me to remember Jay-jay of those days. Hope he can keep this up.

Fellow Nigerians, I think 6-1 score line is a good result ON PAPER!!!

D confederations cup is a different ball game...All the teams innit are winners from different continents. So, even if Tahiti fielded carpenters or artisans..that is none of our business!!! D truth is, Nigeria did not just defeat Tahiti, we defeated a whole continent!!! I've been listening to the rubbish the hypocritical Britsih press has been spewing about Nigeria...my take is IF ENGLAND is that good, why are they not in Brazil? They are just a bunch of jealous fellas!!!

And again,I actually believe that Nigeria played a bit amateurish because we were playing against Tahiti!!! Against Uruguay & Spain, I'm sure we will see an improved performance.

Nevertheless, IDEYE and MUSA were just awful today...I still cannot believe that these guys are being paid dollars by European clubs...It's not only because of the chances they missed, their attitude sucks- They carried on with a very stupid ' I don't care attitude ' . I do not know why Keshi likes this IDEYE guy so much...He wasted loads of scoring chances during Afcon and he has been doin the same since then!!!

Below is my player ratings

Enyeama- 4/10
Ambrose- 5/10
Echiejile- 7/10
Oboabona-5/10
Omeruo- 6/10
Mikel- 5/10
Ogu-5/10
Mba-3/10
Oduamadi-8/10 MVP* (when his teammates were acting as Id it's a MUST they dribble the keeper b4 scoring, he was just business like)
Ujah-3/10
Musa-3/10
Ideye-1/10

Our weakest link is the attack- if Keshi can work on that, the game against Uruguay mite just go our way! But frankly speaking, we will need a big measure of LUCK too 'cos players like Musa and IDEYE will still play We are really missing Emenike and MOSES!!!

Fun facts:

This is the first time the likes of Enyeama, Ideye, Ejide and Echiejile have won a match at a FIFA senior tournament. The aforementioned players were at the last world cup, whilst both Enyeama and Ejide were at the 2002 World Cup.

In his last 5 matches at a senior FIFA tournament, Enyeama has kept only one clean sheet, being the 0-0 draw with England at the 2002 World cup.
