A woman who has just been raped is being blamed for being raped. We hear people ask questions like what was she doing there at that time? Why did she go to the man’s house alone? She got what she deserved? How can she dress like that and not expect to be raped? Why did she travel to meet someone she does not know? Did you just notice something; the victim is being questioned more than the perpetuator. Please people; let’s stop blaming victims for what happens to them. While it is important to advice people on how to protect themselves against crime, it is wicked to blame them for their misfortune.

Some people act like emotionless fo/ols sometimes.
How can the girl be responsible if the man a.k.a beast don't have any self control over his se/xual urges.
We're a living in a crazy world, blaming the victim and finding excuses for the assaulter, how can violence end like that ?!
Poor women. cry

We can be heartless and senseless with those issues

The rape victim needs emotional and physical help at that time and not someone to apportion blame

How some people love to make themselves judge and jury

Useless country.

This is why we need to let people know that it is unacceptable to blame victims. We need to keep shouting it until people get realize. Imagine being unable to report or prosecute the assaulter because of fear of being blamed. The most worrying times is when we see other women doing the blame.

Hello Miss campaigner, räpe happens under diverse situations and been a victim doesn't always make you blameless. Though it's a pathetic act but you'd better invest your energy on contents to avoid been räped rather than not been blamed after a räpe.
Tips: Avoid late hours, avoid walking alone in silent/dark places etc. Hope that helps.

when these questions "How can she dress like that and not expect to be Molested? Why did she travel to meet someone she does not know?" are the reasons for the rape, why won't the rape victim be blamed and calling it rape sef doesn't add up.

you should be campaigning instead for those who didn't have to go miles away to visit guys they met on facebook (and then get to the guy"s house and are like "no sex pls" seriously??), and those who were raped out of sheer jealousy or anger and the more rampant case of being there "the wrong place"at that particular time.

am not being insensitive, just a little real

I am not saying people should not avoid situations that put them in a position where they could be raped.Neither did I say they are blameless. What I am saying is that when rape occurs, the rapist is to be blamed. Everybody should have self control and our energy as a nation should be on how to punish the perpetrators of such act.
