collynzo2: Does that mean all websites are blogs? All sorts of websites have been posted here. How is notjustok.com a blog?

Of course Notjustok.com is a blog. What is a blog? a blog is a type of website that is usually arranged in chronological order from the most recent ‘post’ (or entry) at the top of the main page to the older entries towards the bottom. A website on the other hand, isn't chronological.

It's a music blog that regularly post musical content in chronological order. Check out their profile on technorati - http://technorati.com/blogs/www.notjustok.com

Their profile on twitter reads: "Voted Nigeria's #1 Music Blog/Website 2010, 2011 and 2012."

It was not like that when I startedwww.naijawhistle.com but now things have changed. So many blogs with funny names n useless content. I copy stories but put them in a unique way and acknowlege the source when I can't rewrite. Anyway I'd love to run it as an online magazine but the challenge is everybody wants instant rewards immediately.
Do you see my vision? Can we partner?

More blogs are fine, but they have to look for niches that haven't been covered.
Re: The Proliferation Of Blogs - Good Or Bad? by Encoredme(m): 10:28pm On Jun 27, 2013
My take:
Blogging should first be a passion, a desire to use the power of words and other communication tools to effect change in a sector of the Nigerian economy. Even if it apparently looks like no one is reading your content, it doesn't mean, because unknowingly to you, you could be changing someone's life and perception about what you are Blogging about.
It is correct to say that there is still a large fertile soil that is Bloggers are yet to tap into, like issues about education, power, health, psychology etc.

Some other blogs like Copyblogger and problogger make more than that but their revenue model is based on selling products rather than advertsising.

Well thankfully mine is a rather unconventional blog. I'm actually yet to find one similar, though it's relatively new. Please take a sneak peek, it's just a click away! http://michaelegbuna..com

Your blog is what a blog should be like. People should learn to write from within and not from without. Writing one's personal opinions on issues is what blogging should be about and not copy/pasting other people's content.
