Nigeria is one of the African countries listed to join the town hall meeting for youths and US President, President Barrack Obama on Saturday. The other country selected to join the town hall meeting is Kenya where President Obama’s father comes from. Channels Television will be joining the live broadcast of the town hall meeting by 2:45PM. President Obama’s visit to South Africa from where the town hall meeting would hold is being protested by a coalition of trade unions and civil society groups. The group took their protest to the United States Embassy in Pretoria but no US official came out to receive their protest letter. http://www.channelstv.com/home/2013/06/28/channels-tv-to-join-obamas-town-hall-meeting/ Their main grouse is what they describe as the oppressive foreign policy of the US government. |
