Capnd143: what ever happened to eko ille?
anyway, this is fantastic, i think the team governing lagos would do excellently well in governing Nigeria, irrespective of tribe and political party, lagos is moving in the right direction, i dnt see why fashola shouldnt be the presidential candidate for ACN

And yet we wonder why our country is so far behind.
Lagos announces PLAN TO demolish houses on flood plains and we start hearing adoration and praises of excellent Lagos team governing Nigeria well.
Nor be only wa, na wa wa wa!!!

jassie: Not much houses are built on drainage channels, so fashola shouldn't come here with cockk & bull story as an excuse.

Areas like surulere & co were well planned are are still being flooded. You guys need to check the canal/drainage at ojuelegba road. . . its not been cleared in ages & thats the major problem in Lagos. Canals & Large Drainages are not cleared periodically & its the duty of the govt to do so period!

Thank you for your great insight.
We can build all the world class infrastructure we want. If there is no REGULAR maintenance based on a robust technicians and vocational school trained labour force that is WELL PAID (not the useless 8k-10k "empowerment" of these latter day "progressives"wink they will all go to rot in due course.
QED!!!

JENMAUCY: Re they sleepin while those stuctures r being erected? I thought there are people who are responsible for dat? Y leave it til now? Anyway , i hope those affected shuld be compensated n given time 2 relocate

compensated for what, it should be counted as a civil offence to build without the accent of the appropriate regulatory body, they put themselves and other people at risk and we should be compensating them with taxpayers money, instead of been compensated they should be fined and their rubbish destroyed

Lagos State should shut up their fucking mouth! Who do they think they are deceiving.

Let them go and demolish JK Randle's house if they are serious and mean business. NONSENSE!
