THEY HAVE COME AGAINOOOOOOOOOOO. ALL PATRIOTIC NIGERIANS SHOULD RISE UP AND FIGHT FOR OUR HARD EARNED DEMOCRACY. IT WAS REPORTED BY THE THISDAY NEWSPAPER THAT THE FORMER JIGAWA STATE GOVERNOR SENATOR SAMINU TURAKI IS FLYING ANOTHER KITE THAT THERE SHOULD BE A TENURE EXTENTION FOR PRESIDENT YARADUA AND GOVERNORS TO RULE FOR 14YEARS INSTEAD OF THE CURRENT 8YEARS MAXIMUM. THIS IS COMING EVEN WHEN THEY ARE YET TO COMPLETE THEIR FIRST ONE YEAR IN OFFICE. IT WILL BE RECALLED THAT THE SAME SAMINU TURAKI SPENT THE WHOLE JIGAWA STATE FUND ON THE ABORTED 3RD TERM BID OF FORMER PRESIDENT OBASANJO AND NOW THAT HE IS AT THE SENATE BY CROOK, THE ONLY BILL HE CAN SPONSOR IS TO CANVASS FOR TENURE ELONGATION SO THAT THE RAPE ON OUR ECONOMY WILL CONTINUE. IS THAT THE KIND OF CONSTITUTION REVIEW THEY ARE PLANNING? TO ENSLAVE US THE MORE? NIGERIANS PLEASE RISE UP AND FIGHT BEFORE THE HAND OF MONKEY TURNS TO HUMAN HAND, GOD FORBID.

they can choose to stay there for 38 yrs, as long as they uncouple us from this yoke of a unitary system of government. If states like Jigawa no longer had access to unearned taxes from the south and oil money they'll find something better to do than sponsoring thieving bills.

everyone has to make a name for themselves to remain relevant/visible in the national psyche - his is tenure elongation. Nothing will come of it.

The bolded part is understood but couldn't they make a name for themselves in something positive rather than embecillic chattering that will anger most and end up worthless?
When the Nigerian goverment will understand that greed does no one any good will the country move forth. I think the problem is most of these people that become government officials grew up poor and their poverty mentality has made them want a bigger opoko than they can swallow so they hurry and kill themselves with greed which affects all more than they death.

I am shouting because that was how people like Saminu Turaki, Obasanjo, Peter Odili, etc wasted their state and national recourses on meaningless tenure elongation campaigns that have impoverished their people till today. At the end of the day responsible people were denied nominations for election context. What do we have today as representatives and leaders? Just mediocres who have nothing to offer us but misrule, hunger, restiveness, killings, oppression and suppression. They are there for their pockets and their generations unborn. Those who had a better idea about leadership were denied nominations because they did not support tenure elongation. I am shouting because the youth restiveness in The Niger Delta has much of its origin in these wicked, criminal, incompetent leaders whose only interest in the tenure elongation was to continue to improvise us and we are worst for it today. They did the same thing during Abacha's regime and billions that should have been used to better the lot of Nigerians was wasted on frivolities. I am shouting because today the masses are suffering while they fly in their private jets, send their children to the best school all over the world, attend best hospitals overseas and lift our oil while we suffer deprivation. Today there is no electricity, yet they have their own private power plants. The only viable companies we had have been bought over by them with our stolen money and we are jobless and hunger and anger is all over the place. Shall we continue to keep quiet?
