My house is not far from Dr Ifeanyi Ubah's house in Umuanuka otolo nnewi. To tell you the truth of all the contestants for anambra governorship, he is the only one that has shown seriousness at least for now. He has been traveling the length and breath of this state canvassing for votes. His house as of today is a Jerusalem of sorts. Many come on solidarity from different local governments.

I am not from Anambra state but I can tell you that Anambra's politics is being re-written. What many don't know is that Ifeanyi Ubah as of today has garnered so much support.

But Ifeanyi has one problem. He should realise that he is now a public figure and bridle his tongue. If he fails this election ( which is less likely) then his tongue caused it. He should concentrate on mending fences, swallowing his pride and seeking the forgiveness of those he has insulted.

Again, he should stop slapping people indiscriminately, you get respect from people by respecting them not by slapping and giving the person N50,000.00 afterwards.

I still believe ifeanyi will win this election. His campaign team has a lot of work to do. November 16, 2013 will be very interesting in Anambra.

Hello, you are the one that needs to update his brain. The court merely restrained Access Bank from going after Capital Oil's properties. They did not say Ifeanyi Ubah was not owing the bank. Neither did they claim that he had not defrauded the Coscharis boss. There is no nothing in the court's judgement that forbade ordinary Nigerians from discussing the case or requesting Ifeanyi Ubah to repay a loan he had taken and defaulted in paying back. So what is your problem?

“Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, the erstwhile Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, has consequently relinquished his role as head of the organisation. In the interim, AMCON has appointed an acting managing director to ensure accountability and continuity of operations.”

AMCON said its takeover of the executive management of the COG within the two-year timeframe would stabilise the company, adding that it planned to ensure seamless operations at the company.

The agency added that it would, within the two years, “drive the turnaround of the company’s operations in order to meet various timelines and goals set by COG’s board of directors and AMCON.”

“This change of management was effected on June 21, 2013,” AMCON said.

When contacted on the telephone by our correspondent, the Administrative Manager, Capital Oil and Gas Industries, Mr. Ugochukwu Ehighibe, confirmed the development.

“Yes, we have an agreement with them,” he said.

AMCON had shut the premises of Capital Oil and Gas in 2012 following an Abuja Federal High Court ruling that the agency should take over the company’s properties and assets over an alleged N48.014bn debt.

The closure of the company’s 196-million-litre capacity storage tank often used by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation for products storage had hampered products distribution across the country then.

Justice Abdul Kafarati, however, on December 13, 2012 set aside the ex-parte order of November 13, which directed AMCON to take immediate possession of the properties and assets of Capital Oil and Gas as well as those of its managing director, Ubah, over the firm’s alleged indebtedness to the corporation.

But AMCON in an advertorial said it remained firm in its “resolve to vigorously pursue the indebtedness and ensure the recovery of the debt in the interest of the economy.”

The Managing Director, AMCON, Mr. Mustafa Chike-Obi, had put Capital Oil and Gas’ total indebtedness at N65bn as of December 2012.

PDP has 2 factional candidates: Obasanjo’s man, Mr. Andy Uba and Arthur Eze’s man, Mr. Tony Nwoye are battling over PDP candidacy. Whoever eventually represents the PDP will face the people of Anambra State.

In that “Anambra State crisis is a PDP family affair” broadcast, President Obasanjo scolded and chided the 2 Chris: "There should be honour among thieves" when referring to the 2 Chris - Uba and Ngige of Anambra State on how they rigged Anambra State election and started fighting over sharing of the loot. Some call that broadcast Obasanjo’s tactical condemnation of the 2 greedy cronies, confession of roles he had played and apology.

Chris Uba, on his part addressed a press conference to publicly confess and apologize for rigging Anambra State Elections that produced Chris Ngige as governor and asked for forgiveness.

There is no known report of apology from Andy Uba. Many believe Chris Uba’s apology covers ‘everyone’.

Rather, these senators were busy assigning huge salary and benefits to themselves and cornering funds meant for constituency projects. Some say another missed golden opportunity.

And with former president Obasanjo currently storming and stumping on all doors in Abuja in attempt to give Andy Uba another PDP ticket for upcoming Anambra State governorship election, many people in the state are very apprehensive.

He also admitted he drove his colleagues to the fetish shrine at 2.00 mid-night to perform oath of obedience/loyalty rituals to the group. He added he did so at gunpoint. He also added that he hide a Holy Bible in his groin while stripping half-Unclad to perform oath of obedience rituals at the fetish shrine where police later discovered over 70 dead bodies and hundreds of human parts at various levels of decomposition openly displayed on the surface of the bushes and walkways on the shrine compound.

Unfortunately, many people do not believe Gov. Chris Ngige told the truth about the trips he made to the fetish shrines and what he actually did there. Many people also do not believe he told the truth on the reason he quarreled with his treasury-looting colleague. Many people believe the reason they quarreled was their insatiable greed in sharing their loot.

Many people believe the reason his colleagues tried to force him out of office was because his greed and their greed collided and that was the reason they decided to expose each other.

Though his party officials in the state and national headquarters and Nigerian President Obasanjo admitted he did not win 2003 governorship election, Ngige refused to honorably vacate the office.

Despite revelations on how the 2 Chris went before President Obasanjo to confess he did not win governorship election; despite President Obasanjo’s “Anambra State crisis is a PDP family affair, My choice for Anambra State was Hon. Jerry Ugokwe” broadcast; despite scolding and chiding the 2 Chris: "There should be honour among thieves" referring to the 2 Chris - Uba and Ngige on how they rigged Anambra State election and started fighting over sharing of the loot; Ngige refused to honorably leave office.

Rather, Ngige decided to hang-on using all sorts of ridiculous tactics, including importing a reported homeless American court interpreter to dispute Nigerian handwritings in Nigerian court. And hence prolonging the court process and his stay in office. Also, Ngige government refused to conduct local government and council elections, a legacy that slow development of grassroots democracy in the state.

That was then in 2003 to 2006.
