I will do my very best to profile all the governorship aspirants in Anambra State. It will be encouraging if all the anambrarians and friends of anambra state contribute meaningfully to this post.

I will be starting with Dr. Ifeanyi Uba. I will do my best to answer any question with respect to his background, achievements, controversies, etc.

after reading this article, i realise that this is the kind of man we need in govt house awka. i will be posting a lot on his achievements as we proceed.

Mr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah was born into the modest family of late Mr and Mrs. Alphonsus Ubah of Umuanuka, Otolo, Nnewi.
A man of humble beginning, amiable, likeable and good natured personality holds a B.Sc in International Relations and married to Mrs. Uchenna Ubah, a graduate of Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaira and the marriage is blessed with five children.
The visionary Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited, no doubt is an ambitious business mogul who from the very day he joined the oil and gas business, decided to distinguish himself and the company creditably. Through dint of hard work, personal conviction to succeed, visionary leadership and doggedness, he has in a matter of 9 years, between 2003 and 2011, taken Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited to an enviable position of becoming a dominant leader in the downstream sector of the Nigerian oil and gas industry. • Knoll & Hachfer Engineering Co Ltd
• Chevron Oronite & Chemical Co Ltd
• Hero Communications Ltd
• First Nigeria Independent Oil Co Ltd
• Commodity Giants Nigeria Limited

He has been actively involved in top flight business management for over two decades with vast experience in international business and has attended several local and international courses and seminars in leadership and business management.
In addition to all these, Mr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah is an avid philanthropist and a motivator par excellence. In recognition of the need to serve humanity, give back to the society, provide succor to the needy, Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah has established an Educational Foundation that gives students free University education, the first of its kind in the South-East, particularly Nnewi, sunk boreholes for his community, installed electricity transformers, engages in constant repair/grading of community roads and by the grace of God Almighty, the only large hearted man in the whole of the country to provide free fuel to the popular “Okada” riders and Bus drivers every Monday in all his filling stations.
In recognition of his numerous contributions to the economic development of the nation and entrepreneurial ingenuity, the Federal University of Technology, Owerri awarded him a Doctor of Management Technology (DMT).

Mr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah is a man driven by passion to succeed and excel in all his chosen endeavours. He is a workaholic and very energetic. He is well-focused and meticulous and works almost round the clock. His ability to take tough and far-reaching business decisions marks him out as entrepreneur of repute, tactful and foresighted business mogul of the 21st century.

There is also a part of this able visionary leader that we cannot leave out. Mr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah is a philanthropist of note and a motivator par excellence. He provides succor to the needy through the Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation, which awards university scholarship to students. He sunk boreholes for his community, Nnewi, installed electricity transformers in various communities in the Anambra State, regularly repairs/grades community roads and has, over time, kindheartedly provided free fuel every Monday in all his filling stations to commercial motorcyclists popularly known as “Okada” riders and bus drivers.
He is fondly called “Ebube Chukwu uzo” meaning “putting God first” in all ones dealings.
This has not only remained his guiding principle, but has indeed been the source of his strength and success.

IFEANYI UBAH - THE ENTREPRENEUR

Ladipo Market is in the news again. When it was closed back in February, Ifeanyi Uba was one of the Ibo leaders Ikechukwu Animalu cried to for help to appeal to Governor Fashola. He was one of the many instrumental in getting the market reopened.

I suspect as show of appreciation Ibos in Ladipo will be raising support for him back in village.

A man that said the reason why he joined labor party is because their logo has a human face, unlike other parties that have animal and broom symbol.

Is that the type of governor you want for anambra. Now there are 3 reason I suspect that made u open this thread.

1, You want to insult and ridicule anambra pple

2, You want to insult or ridicule ifeanyi uba

3, You r not intelligent, smart, exposed and your thinking is shallow like his.

Now which of the 3 categories above do u fall into?

Ifeanyi Uba is actually the victim - cosmas and the rest of them were paid to defraud him. but thank God the senate and the court cleared him of all charges

POLICE CLEARS CAPITAL OIL & GAS INDUSTRIES LIMITED
Owing to reinforced media campaign against Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited, we are compelled to break our self-imposed silence by issuing this statement. We had earlier resolved not to make any further statement in the media about our dispute with Access Bank/Coscharis Motors but recent mis-statements in the media unfortunately dictates that we should say a few words for record purposes. It was our sincere belief that Access Bank will honour the terms of settlement signed by the parties on February 9, 2013 by avoiding any further media attack against us. We are saddened to note however that Access Bank still gives the erroneous impression that our legal disputes with her are on-going. It is our hope that the recent media onslaught against us is not an indication that Access Bank intends to back out of the terms of the settlement agreement. If so, we expect them to publicly make it clear so that we will revert to the status quo.
It is therefore in furtherance of our resolve to put the record straight that we wish to inform the general public that the Special Fraud Unit of the Nigeria Police Force has cleared Ifeanyi Ubah and Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited of the indictment by the Presidential Committee on the Verification and Reconciliation of Fuel Subsidy Payments (PC) chaired by Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, the Managing Director of Access Bank. The clearance by the Police was contained in a letter dated February 12, 2013 written to the Minister of Finance, a copy of which was made available to us, the Inspector General of Police, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Debt Management Office and PPPRA. The police investigation found that there is no inference of a prima facie case of the alleged offences against us.
The general public will be interested to note that the Police report went as far as confirming our consistent publicly held position that the findings by the Presidential Committee that we forged documents to enable us claim payments for products that were not imported was spurious. Permit us to quote the Police Report verbatim in this regard to show how laughable the Report of the Presidential Report is. "In line with the findings highlighted above in respect each of the transactions by Capital Oil & Gas Limited, this investigation embarked on a wide range of verification of documents tendered by the marketers, and all the relevant agencies to authenticate if they were actually issued by the purported agencies. Further investigation extended to the banks to verify banks' transactions with a view to determine whether products were actually paid for and received. The investigation reveived reports from NPA, DPR, PPPRA and Banks in their submissions to this investigation, indicating that PRODUCTS IN QUESTION WERE BOUGHT AND DELIVERED".
In any case, it will be recalled that the representatives of the DPR, NAVY, NPA etc during the public hearing on the petition we wrote to the Honourable Uzor Azubuike-led Committee on Public Petitions of the House of Representatives unanimously stated that the Presidential Committee did not at any time write to them to confirm the authenticity of the documents we submitted to the Committee and that the products were imported and discharged.
The Police investigation then concluded that;
“Investigations have laid bare all issues in the 15 complaints against Capital Oil & Gas by the Presidential Committee on the Verification and Reconciliation of Fuel Subsidy Payments. After due analysis and consideration of the team’s findings, we found out that there is no inference of a prima facie case of the alleged offences”.
The Police investigation therefore found as untrue and unsubstantiated the allegations by the Presidential Committee against Ifeanyi Ubah/Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited of collecting subsidy payments without importing or discharging any fuel. In the report, the Police advised the Honourable Minister of Finance to go ahead and process the outstanding subsidy payment due to the company.
With Access Bank’s renewed media campaign which violates the terms of the February 9, 2013 Settlement Agreement between us, one wonders what the Bank is trying to achieve by provoking an unnecessary media war tending to suggest that we have anything to fear about the Aig-Imoukhuede-led Presidential Committee Report or our business transaction with Coscharis through Access Bank. It is hoped that the Bank understands the implications of this, or is it because they think that they can use depositors’ funds to embark on undue publicity without any form of accountability?
A word is enough for the wise!
The general public may recall that various media were awash with all forms of baseless allegations against the company of collecting subsidy payments without importing or discharging any fuel. The smear campaign was so bad that the company was even labeled an ’oil thief’ even when no judicial pronouncement had been made in that regard. Much effort was also made in the media to portray Ifeanyi Ubah and Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited as wasteful and fraudulent persons. It is therefore with a heart filled with gratitude that we share with the general public this report which cleared us of any wrong-doing or financial impropriety. Despite the accusation of embezzling funds the equivalent of the revenue of eleven states as well as constituting a threat to national security, we have finally been vindicated. We can only thank God as truth has once more prevailed over falsehood.
The clearance by the Police has been further justified by a judgment delivered on February 18, 2013 by the Federal High Court of Nigeria sitting in Lagos, which absolved Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited and Ifeanyi Ubah of all purported allegations of subsidy scam made against them by the Presidential Committee. The court voided and set aside an Interim Report by the Police dated November 2, 2012 and the Presidential Committee report which purportedly indicted Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited/Ifeanyi Ubah and Staff. The court awarded N10 Million damages in favour of Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited and Ifeanyi Ubah.
It is worthy of mention that there are persons who sought to tarnish our name as well as deliberately spread falsehood against us in a bid to put us out of business so as to unlawfully take-over our business. There were also those who instigated the arrest and detention of our Managing Director, because they saw him as a political and business threat. It was indeed a very distressing period for us. Our business was nearly crippled. Our members of staff were not paid for months. We suffered untold difficulties and set-backs while many of our friends and supporters deserted us owing to the falsehood. Even though we were unfairly treated in the manner our hard earned reputation was publicly battered by our traducers, we have decided to stay action against all these persons who wronged us. We will watch events as they unfold.
We remain eternally grateful to God and all those who prayed and stood by us, especially the Nigerian masses and the media.
Finally, we are more focused and committed than ever before to render services to our country. Our facilities are fully functional and we will continue to work hard to sustain our stakes in the daily petroleum distribution in Nigeria. We will continually strive to bring innovations that will touch the lives of Nigerians.
Thank you and God bless.
MANAGEMENT
NOTA BENE
Access Bank should not provokea a war that it cannot stop. It should be contented with the settlement Agreement between the parties. If the needless media war by the Bank does not cease immediately, we will be compelled to convene a world press conference that will be beamed on live television, to fully discuss and highlight the facts other issues once and for all. A word is enough for the wise.

mekaboy: Guy have u seen ifeanyi uba speak on TV? Is that the image you want to portray of anambra pple? So u look at someone who talks like that and want him to represent anambra pple?
i wasn't aware that the way one speaks determines his/her level of intelligence. Uba is 42 yrs old and is the MD/CEO of major investments worth more than US$72b worldwide. More than 2000 Masters degree holders in various fields of human endeavour are under his employ and more than 3000 graduates and other expatriates are comfortable earning their daily bread and life comforts thru him! How does that make him not good enough to govern anambra state?

A man that said the reason why he joined labor party is because their logo has a human face, unlike other parties that have animal and broom symbol.
Sir, what exactly is your problem with this statement?

It seems you have a personal beef with the person of Ifeanyi Uba. But i will give you just one advice, judge a man by his achievements not by the way he looks or speak - If if we we are to use your yardstick to measure people, then great men like Abraham Lincoln,Gandhi, Albert Einstein, Gani Fawehi, and the rest of them great achievers who are not great orators nor very handsome but yet they touched humanity as a whole!

Ifeanyi Uba is on a mission to industrialize Anambra State

Re: The Man Patrick Ifeanyi Uba by mekaboy(m): 10:34am On Jul 31, 2013
So the number of employees you have will qualify you for governorship position? Or the worth of your investment? The adenuga shld be governor of lagos or president of Nigeria, the same goes to dangote.

Can you tell us the source of the capital for that investment your quoting?

I mean a governor to be said that the reason he joined a party is that the logo has a human face while other party logos have broom and animal? Who knows the reason he wants to become governor? Maybe because Anambra start starts with the Letter "A", the first letter in alphabetical order.

I am sure the elders must have scolded him, and he ran to labr party. Well goodluck in your campaign.

Ifeanyi Uba is the beautiful bride of Anambra politics – Akabueze
- See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/07/ifeanyi-uba-is-the-beautiful-bride-of-anamabra-politics-akabueze/#sthash.Vk7rQbcc.dpuf

Chief Sunday Akabueze is a chieftain of Labour Party in Imo State. He has overtime proven himself to be a strong supporter of Chief Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, who is aspiring to be the next Governor of Anambra State come November 2013 on the platform of Labour Party (LP).

In this interview , he said Chief Ifeanyi Ubah is on course and has all it takes to boost LP’s victory in the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra State, should the party nominate him.

EXCERPTS

You are from Imo State, why are you championing a governorship cause in Anambra State?

Chief Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah is not for the people of Anambra State atone. He belongs to Ndigbo and Nigeria generally. Actually, I am from Imo State while he is from Anambra State but irrespective of where I come from, God used this man from Anambra State to turn my life around positively. A lot of Ndi Anambra have also experienced and benefited from this man’s generously.

God has used him and is using him and will still use him to turn around the lives of many Ndigbo and Nigerians positively. He is a detribalized Nigerian. He doesn’t want to know where you are from. He doesn’t want to know whether you are an Igbo man, Hausa man, Yoruba man etc. He believes in equity, justice and fairness and that is why many people from various states and tribes whom God has used this man to turn their lives around positively are saying he is good to govern Anambra State. If God can use him to make people from different states and tribes as a private businessman, don’t you agree with me that same God will use him more to make more people as a governor? That is why we are championing his governorship bid in Anambra State irrespective of the fact that we are not from there. All we are saying is that he has a new face to shape the old face of Anambra politics. Frankly speaking, as an Igbo man, we have been following the politics of Anambra State and I can tell you that Ifeanyi Ubah is the only aspirant on that governorship race with a new face and Anambra people need a man with a new face and there is no other person on the governorship race with a new face other than Ifeanyi Ubah.

What do you know about him?

I am a successful businessman and a chieftain of our great party, the Labour Party. I have known him for some time and have been following his transformation agenda right from his oil company, Capital Oil & Gas. It is the same agenda that he is promising to bring to Anambra State in governance if elected as governor. I have therefore seen, believed and can confirm that this man will be totally committed to the transformation of his State for the best. He practised this in his companies; he is still doing it and he is hoping to translate it into governance in Anambra State. I believe him because he is a man who truly means what he says. The only thing he needs now is to get nominated by Labour Party, and his candidature will certainly boost victory for the party at the polls.

What gives you the confidence that he is the right man for the job?

Chief Ifeanyi Ubah in an organizer, activist, a fighter for the rights of men and women, youths, and the underage in Nigeria. He is equally a strong committed and spirit filled Christian.

He has prepared and positioned himself to save Anambra State from the ruin and maladministration of yesteryears. The good people of Anambra State do not need to search further or any longer because their messiah is here. They have found out from the tour he organized recently that Uba’s investment is huge, massive and outstanding.

There are students who attend various schools in Nigeria, courtesy of Uba’s sponsorship. He tars roads every where. His filling stations supply fuel free of charge to motorcyclists in Nnewi every Monday. He intervenes in all cases where poor people are being discriminated against or marginalized. He donates money throughout the federation in pursuant of worthy causes. This may be the reason his detractors wanted to rubbish him recently by framing him up. This apart, this man we are talking about sits at top of many great successful and blue chip companies. Apart from his Capital Oil & Gas company that is a major player in the oil and gas sector, he is the Chairman of other companies.

He has made a huge impact in the fight against poverty and diseases. On work against HIV/AIDS, he has done marvelously well in curtailing the epidemic especially in the South West and the South East. He has been actively engaged in organizing and mobilizing men/women to embrace healthy etiquettes and social activities. He is deeply involved in community development and before his aspiration, he was engrossed in several community development efforts especially as it relates to women and children’s health.

Frankly speaking, the issue of aspiring to be Governor in order to have the opportunity to loot government and State treasury is far from him. He has seen it all and truly means to serve with sincerity of his heart. I am urging the good people of Anambra State who are desirous of good things to support and vote for him and Labour Party massively.

What is your take on his choice of Labour Party?

Labour Party is a party with a new face. Just like Ifeanyi Ubah, it’s members have one spirit and one mind. His supporters are supporting a man whose impact in the coming election is projected to be massive and this stems from the fact that he is not budged by the traditional infirmities that affect professional politicians. Don’t you think his backers deserve commendation for bringing this man who is without blemish or stain into a party like Labour party? Labour Party has potentials and these are the positive attributes many people look out for in our messed political terrain. His forte as a businessman has been business and community developments which stands him out in good stead to mobilize those that do not share deep passion for politics and service.

His choice of Labour Party which his backers made is a catalyst, a veritable vortex that will reign in the votes to LP’s side and that is why his choice will boost Labour Party’s victory at the polls. He will be a consummate vote catcher and his clean person will be a great advantage to his party, the Labour Party. He is coming in his own individual value, his own asset and his own self worth, one of which is his strong catholic faith. There is no doubt he will be a big asset to the Catholics and other denominations in Anambra State.

Wow, the only thing left for him to do will be to pay every anambra state indigen monthly allowance. Now did he say all this orally or was it written on his behalf. I will like to see a video of him saying all this, because the person I saw in the video interview stating why he joined labor party is a totally different person from the writing you posted above.

I know your train is on high speed, because the driver has refused to read the signs on the road, stating the speed limits, sharp bends, u-turns and round abouts. Hope you guys have life insurance on that train. Because this train is going to crash.

aside from him not being eloquent [according to you] - which of course is not a yardstick for success, what other genuine reason do you have against his governorship bid?

He is not organized.

Now, his reasoning . How will symbol of the logo of a political party be the reason for joining a party. Does a person that gave such a reason seem to u like someone who can implement all the stuff u wrote above.

the moment he said he was going to focus on building an airport in Anambra i lost interest in him. why build an airport in anambra when u , more or less , own the one in asaba, 2km meters away. yes 2km.

he lost it for me with that idea.

One idea out of various others shouldn't make you see him as not capable of developing anambra state. Besides, why do we need to develop other peoples state by using their airport when we can build our own and use it to uplift our state.

@OP

Please, stop giving attention to a folk like " mekaboy " , because doing so will make him start to feel important . If someone like Ifeanyi Ubah is not intelligent and focused to him , then I wonder what should be said of a never-do-well like him and his ilks . The last time I checked , someone having or lacking " oratory gift " is not a determinant factor of a bad or good leader. Freedom of speech does not protect you from the consequences of saying stupid shit.
