Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by akinalabi(m): 4:31pm On May 27, 2008 |
I don't think I'll be putting my money on any of the teams sha. None of them is outstanding in my reckoning. Shows how poor England were during the qualifiers not to qualify for this. |

I go for Germany Naturally. The bayern Link runs deep. Well i would also be on the look out for Italy- Lucatoni and France-Ribery I pray portugal have a dismal tourney so that Ronaldo wont win any award this year: Player of the tournament: Ballack, Lucatoni, Ribery. |
Re: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by HNIC(m): 2:17pm On May 28, 2008 |
I will be rooting for the men from Switzerland. Why? Ok, let's take a look at this. Senderos et al will be playing as hosts. With the crowd backing them,Senderos and co could get all the way to the finals and win. Just imagine, if Phillipe has a fantastic tournament, the likes of Milan,Madrid and Inter would begin to covet him,his agent would go to the press and start some 'drama', AW lets him go to the highest bidder for 7million quid(Who cares how much) and finally, Senderos quits Arsenal!!! So that, next season, whenever the ball is being passed around by Arsenal's defence line, I can sip my drink peaacefully and also, whenever I see Toure or Gallas limping, I am rest assured that Phillipe isn't coming on! |

akinalabi: Point of correction. Ronaldo may be the PLAYER OF THE YEAR fair and square but he certainly ain't the best in the world. I still say best is Ronaldinho. Just like manager of the year don't mean best manager, just means best performane for that year only. |

i support france. they really deserve a reward after their 1st round exit in kora/japan2002 2 senegal, denmark, uruguay. then they were eliminated in d q/finals of euro2004 by greece, and finally robbed of the world cup 2006. they ve a young promising team in ribery, benzema and the st etienne man go 4 it le coq sportif |
