There are so many common lies men tell and the women seem to be used to them already but. A particular thing beat my imagination last night:
My friend has a boyfriend of 3years and they are already planning to be together in marital union,he lied to her about his class of degree,he had a third class and told her he had a 2.2. She went through some of his posts on facebook (old Posts) and saw that he wrote stuffs about his grade and how he has lost some important jobs due to his grade,she knew about the lost jobs but he never told her it was because of his grade he dint make the final list. Now she is sad and doesn't know if she should confront him or just keep it to herself.
My point is,lying about academics is a short term thing because the woman will still get to know someday so why make her lose trust in the first place. Guess this is why I do not trust any man. Sorry for the long story

feelings or expectations?

An average Naija girl is ambitious, i don't have any problem with that but this ambition is at someone else's expense.
When we were growing up, we were taught not to receive things from people outside the family block, and don't beg as well.

Today, our gals see begging as being smart, we still see begging as what it is.
How can you ask a man for your ur upkeep and still expect him to treat you like a queen, do you deserve it? how does the guy see ur father who has obviously failed in his primary responsibility for the gal child to resort to begging?
Now to the issue of lies;

most times we discover a lot of lies from the gals, but we don't take it so serious cos we feel it doesn't count, why does it count for ladies? EXPECTATIONS.

A typical example is this; a gal has an average caring boyfriend and meets a guy who she perceives is doing better, where do you work? the gals asks, the guy mentions a blue chip company and the gal is like wow!, comparing him with the boyfriend, she starts giving him all the attention, lie she doesn't have anybody just to be part of the man's success, or perhaps move up the ladder.
later she finds out the guy is just a school leaver who is living off his well to do parents and goes home crying her heart out that the guy lied to her, the truth is, lies are everywhere but the one that hurts is the one that beats your expectation.

If the gal was not looking forward to using the guy climb the social ladder, would she feel hurt when the guy comes out clean? the answer is no?

so we know you guys want to use us to appear big, we know you guys are desperate to feast on our resources, we are equally aware that you guys are leeches who cant do any good for yourselves but to tie their destiny to a man, therefore we lie to protect ourselves, that is self defense in my opinion not lie.
