Being a vet Doctor isn't a sin because you are rending service to animals. We learnt in the hadith of our beloved prophet(pbuh).
Sahih Bukhari 4:538,Narrated Abu Huraira Allah's Apostle said,A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it with her head-cover she drew out some water for it.So,Allah forgave her because of that.
Also The Prophet was asked if acts of charity even to the animals were rewarded by God.He replied:Yes,there is a reward for acts of charity to every beast alive.(Narrated by Abu Huraira,Bukhari,3:322.Also Muslim, Vol. 4; Hadith No. 2244.).
So if a prostitute was forgiven because she rendered a service to a dog, then there's no sin rendering services to animals.
So rendering service to dogs isn't forbidden but keeping of dogs is forbidden except such dogs are meant security purposes.
Sahih Bukhari 3:515,Narrated Abu Huraira Allah's Apostle said:Whoever keeps a dog, one Qirat of the reward of his good deeds is deducted daily, unless the dog is used for guarding a farm or cattle.Abu Huraira (in another narration) said from the Prophet, unless it is used for guarding sheep or farms,or for hunting.

Narrated Abu Hazim from Abu Huraira: The Prophet said,A dog for guarding cattle or for hunting.
. And Allah knows best.....Peace

You can keep a dog if it has a clearly defined purpose, like a security dog not just as a pet.

from my little islamic knowledge, keeping a dog as pet is unislamic, however it is dutybound on you as a vet to treat dis dogs if need be. . Wa salamualaikum

Pls dont say u are nt religious conscious , its a must to seek for islamic knowledge and practice them with the undetstanding. Treating of pets like dogs or even pigs are allowed in islam but domesticating them are nt allowed as reported in the above hadiths mentioned by one of our brother

Being a Vet Doctor is a noble profession, that could attract a lot of rewards from Allah, if it is done with the right intentions. Taking care of animals is meritorious deed, that would attract rewards if done with the right intentions. As for keeping Dogs, it has to be for Halal reasons, security, walk dog, hunting etc. And you have to observe all the rules in dealing with Dogs e.g You can't pray with clothes touched by the Dog, you to have wash plates used by the Dog or anything its tongue touches severally before it can be used for personal use.

@lanrexlan has said it all..Jazakalahu khairan

Intuition is not only totally discouraged in Islam, it is as well punishable whether you were right or wrong.

Islam is a totalitarianism,a systems whereby all aspect of human life is clearly defined and governed by Qur'an and Hadith of d prophet saw

Well keepin dogs isnt prohibited, provided the dogs re kept in a cage and are not allowed to stray into your living room or anywhere close to where you observe your salat.
