The Speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly, Haruna Tsokwa, has announced that the lawmakers have decided to ask Governor Danbaba Suntai to go back to the United States to continue his treatment.

The lawmakers asked the governor to return to the U.S. to continue his rehabilitation programme and only come back to run his office when he is fully fit.

The fear of impeachment + greed made some cabal rush him down to Nigeria. But the House of Assembly should keep his Government secured in his absence, the crash/accident could have been any of us.

All what the Taraba people want is good governance and peace, not selfish politicians who are struggling for primordial interests, I sympathize with Suntai on how is toss to and fro for political capital

I don't understand the concept of remaining Governor while you are unable to perform your duties.

The position of Governor is for the people of Taraba state, not for one man. If the people of Taraba state are not benefitting from an active and present Governor, the current one should step down.

It is only greed and stupidity among the electorate that allows people like Chime and Suntai to remain in office.

How many members of the state house of assembly passed the resolution.That should be the main point here.The speaker alone cannot speak for the house.The constitution has laid down procedures to be adhered to in matters like this.This procedures should be strictly adhered to.

He was rushed down to Nigeria cos of fear of losing power.
He is unfit!

This is thesame way they killed Yaradua for their selfish interest. The Governor should return to the hospital until he is fit to rule, if he remains here and dies like Yaradua he alone remains the prime loser.
