Samantha Lewthwaite, 29, has been on the run for eight years, since her husband, Germaine Lindsay, blew himself up in the July 2005 suicide bombings in London that targeted subway riders. Survivors of the Westgate Mall in Nairobi said a white woman wearing a veil was among the hostage-takers.
