This fire incident happened around 11a.m today by 41road Festac town. Thank God for our ever ready youths and some private water company who put off the fire before the lagos state fire service came. |

Would have been catastrophic if the fire had spread to other flats and razed the whole building. I bet the other residents would do serious thanksgiving. Otito dili Chineke. |

today I witnessed the helplessness that we as Nigerians face. it took the fire service close to 1hr to show up and by the time they did the whole house had already been burned through. I was so ashamed that there are no emergency fire engines stationed at the local government Secretariat. After all the billions and billions of naira spent still the fire service is still moribund. |
