All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Ahead Of Others (anambra Election) by DanOfor: 10:23am On Nov 01, 2013
Many people in Awka, the Anambra State capital, have reportedly vowed to vote for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in theNovember 16 governorship election.

Speaking at the rally, which moved from Eke Awka Market to the new stadium under construction, Chief Emma Nweke, said the election ofNovember 16 was a payback time for the APGA government under Governor Peter Obi, for his dedication to the development of Anambra State, adding that APGA should be supported by all Igbo for providing them with an identity.
The APGA candidate, Dr. Willie Obiano, said at the rally that his primary aim of joining politics was to contribute to the development of Anambra State and the advancement of mankind. He commended Obi for the development of the state and pledged to face the task of governance with even greater dedication by continuing where Obi stopped.

Obi, in his speech, challenged the Awka people to show them one project that Senator Chris Ngige, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), did in Awka while listing the projects of his government to include the dualisation of Zik's Avenue, the reconstruction of Court road, Agu-Awka by-pass, Arthur Eze, Achalla, and Majuo, among other roads.

He also said his government built the Secretariat, ASUBEB building, Amaku Teaching Hospital, which he said Ngige only relocated to his town of Alor, even as he recalled the Iyiagu flood Channel closed by past governments, which he re-opened.
The National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh, said every Anambra person should be proud of APGA for restoring the dignity of Anambra State. "Before the APGA Government of Obi, Anambra was a pariah state, but today, things have changed. The APGA government has made Anambra State an exemplary State in Nigeria.

I watched the live broadcast of the ANAMRBADECIDES Guber debate held in Awka yesterday (morning session) and it was my very first time to come face to face with the APGA and APC candidates (the big contenders). I must confess that the Willie guy was roundly articulate. He knew his onion and was armed to the teeth with priviledged information of the state gov't workings and the contextual immediate needs of the people (maybe Obi wasn't wrong in picking him after all). He also had accurate management of debate time, and delivered fully on content within the allotted time. At various times be stained Ngige with one accusation or the other during his term and Ngige would take the entire allotted time to rebuff it, and then wont even answer the question before the bell will go. Willie made two heavily discreeting allegations against Ngige. That in his term, about 99% of roads built in Anambra were done in Idemili (Ngige's home area). And secondly, that during Ngige's gov't all the donor agencies and foreign partners left Anambra state because of the gov't's inability to sustain promises and its serial break of projects financial agreements. Ngige had to complain to Imoni Amarere and Linda Illoh severally about how Willie Obiano was consistently breaking the debate rule by attacking his person (though Willie didn't mention names). But in all, the problem is that over 90 percent of the electorate don't even listen to or watch these debates to have personal knowledge of the policies and programmes or proposals of those they're rooting for. I think what's working most against Ngige in this contest is mostly image damages and demonization of the man by the ruling APGA in Anambra.wuu?;

Asking Freeglobe to present facts is akin to asking ELton John to be straight. The efulefu lacks the intellectual ability to do so.

Why Obiano doesn't have his own face on all the campaign clothing he wears? The clothing looks like the campaign is for Peter Obi or Ojukwu. This looks like campaign for Peter Obi third term in office.
