The former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor, has called on members of the District Grand Lodge of Nigeria to ensure that good governance, rule of law, freedom of expression and association is entrenched within the Nigerian society.

Kufuor, who made this call while delivering a speech at the Centenary Anniversary of the District Grand Lodge of Nigeria, held at Eko Hotel Lagos, entitled: “Freemasonry and Governance” urged the members to dedicate all their efforts to positively affect lives of others within and outside their immediate community.

The series of activities which started with the call to order of brethren by the District Grand Director, W. Bro Busola Holloway attracted prominent personalities from all walks of life to mark this epoch celebration, they include: HRM Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, Obi of Onitsha, representative of the HRM Oba Akenzua, Oba of Benin, among others.
