Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State was shown this afternoon on African Independent Television launching APC in Rivers State. He was the special guest and key note speaker at the event. He used the opportunity to lambast the PDP and federal government, picking holes in the policy and implementation and also used it as a forum to justify his stands against the Jonathan administration.

He did not also fail to criticize key political stakeholders in Rivers State, claiming that they are playing "stomach politics" and that they are driven to team up with the federal Government against him by hunger. He kept making reference to a former deputy speaker; but it was not clear whether he was refering to Austin Opara or Chibudom Nwuche - both former deputy speaker of the National Assembly.

While Rotimi Ameachi may be on point on some of the things he mentioned; the way he is going about it is disturbing; because you can't be claiming to be a member of nPDP or PDP and at the same time be openly advocating for another party even as the Special Guest at their launch and outing; I don't think that if Rotimi Amaechi is the PDP national or State chairman, he would condone this from another person.

The man is confused, but from the look of things, he has interest in joining APC. But, sincerely, i dont know why APC is always after deserted PDP members, why do they always woo the PDP members, cant they perform withut them? If this continues, then, it's still the same old wine in a new bottle.


I understand that there is no permanent friend or foe in politics, but with the way APC is going about wooing and snatching desrtet PDP member, then, nothing new apart from what PDP is known for should be expected from and of them.

Amaechi is being pushed around by Buhari and Tinubu to do what they cannot allow in their party. He is a goner and a big looser. Soonest, they will reject him and leave him to his self destruction. Time will tell!

Amaechi's condition has defied all logic, including specialists at Yaba left. He seems to forget one thing; in politics and among politicians,a stable character and loyalty is more honoured than integrity.
The APC will only use him and snatch his political structure from him after 2015 but they would never make him running-mate to anyone cos he is too stubborn, disloyal and no one or body can rein in on him.
This same trait is what robbed Abubakar Rimi of the opportunity to be Obj's running-mate in 1999. Amaechi, if elected a vice-president is capable of setting up a parallel government or disagreeing with his boss publicly. He is capable of criticising his boss heavily in a foreign country if the mood seizes him.
