Pakistan is ready to give nuclear weapons to Saudi Arabia to counter any future threat from Iran, it was claimed last night.
BBC’s Newsnight has spoken to sources in Pakistan who told them they had been preparing for the possibility for some time.

Reporter Mark Urban said the programme understood that if a deal were to go ahead, Saudi Arabia could have the nuclear weapons operational and ready to deploy within the time it would take Iran to do

What most people do not realise is that Saudi Arabia absolutely loathes Iran even more than Israel, they want to be the big guys in the middle east, they also want to demolish the shite wherever they may be. i do not think the US will allow Pakistan to sell any of their Nuclear weapons.

I am not sure USA can do much about it, the two countries are its very strong allies in its foreign policies in the ME and war on terror respectively; besides money (which the Saudis have) is a very strong influencing factor.

I see Israeli security taking a dent in this development and Palestinian hopes rising a tiny little notch.

The Saudis do not give a damn about the Palestinians, USA will not allow Pakistan sell the Nuclear weapons to Saudi Arabia, remember they have dissidents in Saudi Arabia and their brand of Islam is too strict, also, almost 90% of the 911 guys were Saudis.

^^^^ The Saudis are sunnis and quite conservative, even so the Americans have opted to respectfully not to interfere, yes they have dissidents but in the minority and well clamped down by the authorities; besides dissidents or not, the Americans won't know when the Saudis will buys these finished weapons - its not as if they are building them themselves, which involves a long tedious process, easily detectable, like the Iranians - even so, some countries have successfully evaded detection in the past (until too late) e.g. India & Pakistan, North Korea and even Libya until Gaddafi foolishly fessed up.

Yes, I agree the Saudis don't give a damn about the Palestinians though they share the sympathy of the masses by way of religious solidarity (majority are Muslims).

This will be bad for peace in the Middle-east. If Saudi gets their hands on Nuclear weapons, Iran will start agitating for one more than ever. So will other countries that have one enemy or another in that region.
Iran is soon to hold talks with world powers as pertaining to their nuclear enrichment programme. I am afraid they will force the world powers to dissuade Saudi Arabia from acquiring WMDs if they are to give up their hope of acquiring WMDs too.
Else, things are about to get worse in the middle-east

The Palestinians and their course has been manipulated by neighboring Arab states for their own selfish interests. The Palestinians are by far tthe most daft beings on the planet. Egypt has benefited hugely from their misery since America had been forced to provide strategic Military aid to the Egyptian Army as long as they don't interfere diplomatically or otherwise with the status quo. The Saudis just like most corrupt Arab regimes continually use the Palestinian issue as a diversion for their hostile fanatical mob to focus on.

The Nukes currently in use by Pakistan belong to the early first generation in terms of deployment i.e. comprising of a single payload mounted on a crude rocket with short to mid range capabilities with a fire-and Forget launch method. In contrast to that in use by western (and Israel) which have multiple payloads mounted on a single rocket missile which will detach afterwards and hit multiple targets. They also have the capability to control the Missile after launch in order to abort or evade deterrent missiles.

I strongly believe the Saudis are acquiring these Nukes in order to pass them off to a fringe fanatic group.
