Imo APC disowns Okorocha

The leadership of the Imo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has disowned the state Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, saying he is not yet a registered member of the party.In a communiqué jointly signed by the party's interim Chairman and Secretary, Mazi Nati Iwuagwu and Chief Ahamefule Ibekwe respectively and made available to newsmen in Owerri yesterday, the party stated that under the provisions of the Electoral Act on merger of political parties, only members of the merged parties are legal and automatic members of APC for now.

According to the APC, no fresh registration of new members had taken place in the party in the state since the merger of the three political parties on August 31, 2013.

The communiqué stated that every other member outside the three merged political parties was a 'concessional member' and therefore, must wait for regularization by formally registering with the party at his or her respective ward in the state.

It, therefore, frowned at the alleged plot by people it tagged: 'APGA rebels' to hijack the party in the state with impunity and warned those involved in the act to stop the arbitrary constitution of interim officers of the party in the state at all levels.

It stated: "That the attention of the national interim executive of our great party must be drawn to the events in the party in Imo State for urgent and necessary action as we no longer accept the existence of any APC sitting governor in Imo State until he becomes a duly registered member of APC.

"That we have firmly resolved to protect our legacy right of membership of APC lawfully acquired under Section 84 (4) and (5) of the Electoral Act 2010 by every lawful means including judicial option, if the issue of defining the authentic membership of the party in Imo State is not addressed within reasonable time by the national interim executive."

Okorocha cant take any "bold step" yet. The moment he officially registers as an APC member, he'll have to vacate his seat as governor since he got into office through APGA's ticket. Ask him if im lying

They're actually right because Rochas was neither a member of ACN or CPC, so he couldn't automatically have become a member of APC. He has to wait until he's accorded the privilege. As of right now, he's a man without a party. It's only in Nigeria that someone without a party is a Goverbor.

I have always branded Okorocha a clown with his 'anything goes type of politics' when you seem him on TV flashing his '32 ivory' for no just cause one can tell this man is a Santa Claus in power who needs his red attire, wool hat, knee-length, black jack boot, big black bet around his waist and his huge rucksack hurl over his back while dishing out candies to kiddies swarming around him! Okorocha has no business in governance!

When will Nigerians start becoming wise and at least literate? Who said the alliance parties in APC are not members, if they are not, why then did the party reserve seats/posts/offices for them? Why will people always take pleasure in misleading and misinforming the public? For your information, APC has not commenced registration of members except in Anambra state because of their forthcoming election, aside that, even the Party interim excos have not being registered yet. Who is the APC in Imo state if Rochas is not a member? These PDP sponsored hungry politicians who want Rochas to leave the party structure with them so that they can be doing what Peter Obi is doing with his APGA in Anambra state, 12% APGA and 88% PDP. No way for them if they are angry they should pull out and stop ranting in the media because APC is on ground in Imo State and not for sale, and Rochas is the Leader.
N:B: same thing is going on in Abia state as well.

Where are perverts that keep defending and who always claim he has put anything on the ground. Imo state has been so so unlucky with leaders in 1999 till now. This time they mistakenly voted a clown.

Rochas better dust his APGA party card and beat a hasty retreat. The one chance bus (APC) is yet to leave the bus-stop. Jump out sharp sharp and abandon this party of angry mobsters. Time is short!
