NOTE:: What that Police man is doing is ILLEGAL. Remember that the I.G gave an order earlier in his tenure that all Policemen attached to private citizens, politicians and co should be withdrawn. It is illegal for the Nigerian Police that is being paid with Tax Payers money to be used to protect only a few. The last estimate said we had an Average of 1 policeman to over 100 Nigerians, yet Politicians, big men and co all have 1 mopol to themselves.. Sometimes 5 - 10. Some even use our Army sef. That officer would be in Jail if life in Nigeria was fair.. |

emmy-richie: If we are not ripe for state police, then we are not ripe for state high court, state house of assembly or even state governments. Is it not absurd that federal police implement laws made by state house of assemblies in state high courts. Besides it is impossible for federal police to police every village and town in nigeria, the number of personel needed would be tremendous. The problem we have in Nigeria are the courts, if the courts are truly independent and just, it would be difficult for governments - whether state or federal to misuse the police. |

It is our culture. Even the President has a 'whole' lieutenant colonel carrying his briefcase called an ADC. Whatever that is. If that briefcase contained the launch mechanism for 2,500 nuclear missiles I may understand. What do these military and paramilitary houseboys and girls actually do. |

The police are the slave boys to politicians and pick up their droppings. They are underpaid and treated like trash by the government. Crime is all they have been left to do. Their pride is stolen from them and the IG doesn't care about them, their families, or the public. The religious leaders are sinful and no nothing of God. They steal from their followers and scam their hard earned. Nothing is sacred in Nigeria. |

O.T.I.S:Life is not all about food in the belly. That policeman may probably richer than me and you put together, courtesy of robbing innocent people far poorer with his uniform. Typical outdated Nigerian mentality, excusing everything bad. totally incompactible with the 21st century. 1 Like |

fkaz: We do actually have rights; they are well enshrined in our constitution and other relevant Acts. But oftentimes, we are not willing to pay the price of sitting down to look into them. A poorly educated citizenry remains the greatest caveat for corruption and irresponsibility. |
