Daniyemi: To be honest...I am here with Equity and good conscience.
I school at Unijos...bt my family house is in Kano.
Pls belive me.
Yesterday I posted on Nairaland requesting for the location of the supposed meeting.
Just to be sure...since I got no tangible replies, I went down to BUK myself.
I can tacitly tell u all there is nothing like NEC meeting.
the Few students I managed to see on campus...told me they had no inkling of such meeting.
just to be safe I
made sail to the ASUU secretariat...it is as Dry as a desert.
Dear students ...Pls disregard Any such stories as ASUU NEC meeting today.
I managed to get the position of One Bala Bompai ..He claimed to lecture at the department of sciences ...I posed as a campus Life journalist for The Nation newspaper.
He told me exclusively that the position within the Rank of ASUU is that there will be no NEC meeting untill say after Iyayi is buried.
he told me to disregard the notion that the NeC meeting has been postponed indefinitely.
He concluded by saying that as soon Iyayi is buried The Meeting would be reconvened.
P.S: he told me The fact that Iyayi"s burial is in no distant future, dec 5th to be precise..we shld just be patient with the union.
PPS: I didnt go through the hassle of typing this for jokes.
Thank you if your claims are true then you are blessed above all those ediots. No NEC meeting I am out of here.

dat u cant read and undastand is nt my problem. No one is above mistake, atleast u got my messg.
this has nothing to do with comprehension. If you claim to be a member of NEC, I expect a proper use of grammar and zero spelling error neither of which you posess. Your method of typing doesn't come off as that of an intellectual. Just making an observation.

how do you mean?
Look, who i'm has nothing to do with the truth.
The people holding the meeting are they ghost?
why shd we be secretive abt the meeting?
ASUU does not operate lyk dat.
tnk God i no longer freak out when i see/hear anything that has to do with ASUU... @d bolded, faggie was not d one dat told us abt d meeting @kano neither has he come out say anything abt the rumor (or are u representing him on NL??)

My take on this is, if those who claim they're at BUK Kano can't post pictures then no one should take their stories to heart. What's so hard in taking snap shots to validate one's claim? No NEC meeting period!

Fynestboi: ASUU, Ondo varsity on collision course over resumption order

AKURE — THE striking members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko chapter, Ondo State and the university authorities are on a collision course over a directive that the students should resume for lectures.

Gates to the nation’s public universities have been shut in the last 144 days due to trade dispute between ASUU and the Federal Government
Registrar of the state-owned university, R. B. Olotu in a statement in Akure directed the students to resume on Monday, November 25 for the second semester 2012/2013 session.

But in a swift reaction, the ASUU Chapter of the university dissociated itself from the purported resumption of academic activities in the university.
The Chapter’s chairperson, Busuyi Mekusi in a statement asked members to disregard the directive.

Mekusi said: “ASUU Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko Branch, wishes to dissociate itself from the purported resumption of academic activities in the university, as its members are still part of the ongoing national strike by the union.

“Members should, therefore, disregard any pull to abandon the struggle, and be steadfast until the present position is reviewed by NEC.

“ The union also wants to make it abundantly clear that it would resist every tyrannical propensity to intimidate and harass its members.”

The Registrar in his statement entitled: ‘Resumption for the 2nd semester 2012/2013 session’ directed all the students of university to resume.

“All the students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, are hereby informed that academic activities of the second semester of 2012/2013 session truncated as a result of the ASUU national strike are to resume on Monday, 25th November, 2013 with the continuation of registration on the University portal ( http://portal.aaua.edu.ng).
“Lectures are to start on Monday, 2nd December, 2013

It will be recalled that the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Femi Mimiko had about a month ago expressed worries over the continued closure of the university by Ondo State.

Prof. Mimiko threatened that he would recall the students if the four month old strike action was not suspended.
