Rawdeal:

His father does not have as much experience as this "too young boy" to make the decision for him

How do you know that?
FYI the dad was a player. Am a chelsea fan but am not standing with his dad on the choice of club for the youngster.
The issue here is not Kc's father but the agent who is processing his transfer behind his back.
Note that kc travelled without the consent of his dad and the Man is saying he shld come home first let them sought things out.

If he is moving to england and its not arsenal,everton,west-ham,southhampton and united...he might want to think twice cause the end result might be 'disastrous'....FC porto, crewe, athletico madrid, ajax, sporting lisbon, boca juniors are very ideal clubs for young talents like iheanacho............ I hope he and the others think twice before making this decisions

vislabraye: ARsenal FC is the only club in England and probably Man U that's good for youngsters. A lot of young talents have been stagnated in the prem.
Look @ Lukaku for instance. What has happened to all of Chelsea's youngsters ?? Where are they ?

The boy is right to go to FC Porto and make his name. Don't forget, Portuguese have great tacticians and footballers. Jose Month and CR are products of the Portuguese league.
How old were these guys when they let Portugal? What you guys don't realise is this guy cant walk into any starting 11. Not even in Enyimba. If if secures a deal go a good club, if could be sent on loan to a smaller club. This way, he's sure to have an easy come back if he continues to do well rather than him signing himself into slavery. Thibaut Courtois of Athletico Madrid and Aimar are examples.

Yea, i remember chelsea's Gael kakuta, all those talents would have been better nurtured at some other good clubs where expectations on the lad wouldn't have been much. I remember that Mc cheachron( don't know the spelling of his name) dude too. chelsea and man city are not places where you go to grow as a young footballer, they are places you arrive as an already made footballer, ready to deliver.

Mikel is the only youngstar that had arrived in chelsea in recent years and survived, even though he got denatured by the pressure they put on him there. The fact that he survived attests to the the guy's immense football talent.

Iheanacho senior is obviously driven by money and material gains rather than wisdom.

Afam4eva: His father should drop his walking stick and =go and start training so that chelsea or Man City can sign him. Abeg, leave the boy to make his choice. Porto is a grade A team and he will have more playing time and will be exposed to the world via the UCL.
How did you know that his father is using a walking stick?
The man is still very young undecided

You will soon laugh in super falcons.
Messi, Neymar, Mikel Obi and all the other talented footballers - and in deed athletes generally - were guided by their dads so long they remained minors. So why should Kelechi's own be any different.

After Anderson won the U17 best player award, he moved to FC Porto and flourished. Anderson grew at FC Porto to a point Ronaldhino in his prime was dropped for Anderson for the Copa America. Anderson wore 10 jersey for Brazil and they won the trophy.

Going to Man Utd stopped Anderson's growth and he was converted from an attacking player to a defensive midfielder.

The top clubs slow growth of players. Look at Mikel, Pongolle, Lukaku, Kakuta, Forlan, Rossi, Sturridge.

All I see is the father intrested in large sums of money from City n Chelsea. This two EPL clubs won't be a good destination for Nacho! He's still young n needs a lot of playing time and less pressure to perform to mature. Dat he can't get frm this EPL clubs cos they already have stars and won't really want 2 risk fielding n inexperirnced boy!......... More over he can join Porto when he matures n becomes a better player he can leave for a bigger club! This stage of his career is very important! He should learn frm Mikels mistake!

There is nothing like Mikel's mistake. He never made any error. He is an accomplished footballer. He is still playing regularly for Chelsea.
He is one of the most successful footballers from Africa at large .

Arsenal or Barca would have been the best choice for this young boy.

Chelsea and Man city will destroy this boy.

stagger:

And apart from Messi who was a confirmed football prodigy whose entire family were moved from Argentina to Spain on a long term contract, where did these other players start from?

Messi didn't even play for Barca main team after the U17 World Cup. He played after the U20. He played for Barca B which is the reserves of Barca when he was younger. Barca B plays in the La Liga B which is a lower league and a good nurturing ground for great talents like Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Pedro, Guardiola, Enrique, Puyol etc.

Going to porto doesn't guarantee him a starting line up or even a sit on the bench, what happened to rabiu Ibrahim when he was in porto, he needs good advisers for him to make the best decision.

Mikel in the U20 was rated above Fabregas, Silva, Aguero, Llorente. Mikel was rated as the next Zinedine Zidane. In the finals against Argentina, the commentator said that the world can see the proof why Man Utd and Chelsea were fighting over him.

Alex Ferguson flew twice to Norway to beg Mikel to join Man Utd. Today we can't call Silva, Fabregas or Aguero and put Mikel's name.

Mikel in 7 years has never played his natural role for Chelsea. He might be playing games and earning money but he hasn't reached his true potential because of a wrong choice.

Stupid decision from a greedy father. Same father that maybe was scolding the lad when he returned home from one of his street football games now turns to be the one to choose the right club for him as if he's the one to contest for position for him in the field. That od man should let the young man be, nonsense.

I think d best tin 2 do is to move 2 Porto with a clause dat he comes back 2 chelsea wen he has matured nd in gud form. because i dnt tink my darling Chelsea has d motherly love nd patience needed by young Nacho. Whoever said Mikel made a mistake by joining Chelsea is from mesozoic times and should be locked up 4eva in d meseum of natural history 4 generations yet unborn 2 behold wat deir ancestors looked like.

Mikel has spent 7 years at Chelsea and has never been given a chance to play his natural position and show what he can do. Even Nasri grew at Arsenal to a world star. Please how is that not a mistake. Silva grew at Valencia.

Why on earth should his Father suggest Chelski or ManShitty Even if he is a "dark blue" , he should allow the Guy grow in Portugal before allowing him join Chelski. This Papa should rather guide Kelechi through his decision.

emorse: Mario Gotze moved to FC Bayern at what age? Oscar moved to Chelsea @ what age? Coutinho, Isco, Hernandes, Moura, Pogba, Courtois, Hazard, Lukaku, Mignolet and Januzaj. How old are these guys? Do they all play for "Porto-sized" clubs? Or our own Nacho acco't achieve therane cos he's Nigerian?
Coutinho had to leave Inter and go to Bazil, to get exposure.
Pogba and Chicarito never had or have regular playing time at Man Utd.
Iscar made his name at Internacional Brazil befor moving to Chelsea.
Isco had to leave Valencia to go to Malaga to make his name.
Lucas Moura made his name at Sao Paolo Brazil.
Courtois had to leave Chelsea to go to Athletico Madrid to get playing time.
Hazard grew at Lille before Chelsea.
Lukaku made his name at Anderlecht FC but still had to leace Chelsea to go on loan to West Brom and Everton to get playing time at his natural position.
Januzaj isn't a regular for Man Utd.

Arsenal should have been the most suitable destination for the guy.Arsene Wenger will turn the guy to Nigerian Fabregas in two years time. But I think the young lad made the right decision by choosing Porto over Man City and Chelsea.
