Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said Nigerians should take their electricity problem to God, adding that they should take to God anything they do not have which they wished to have or cannot get.

Obasanjo: Anything you don’t have or you cannot get, then leave it to God

Obasanjo: Hey! Hey!, calling a friend of his who was on his entourage; the man walked up to him and he said to him: “They are asking about good governance, Go into your car. Bye bye o,” he said, waving.
Obasanjo, who arrived in a chartered HS125 aircraft from Abuja, also described his political “sons” including the former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayo Fayose, as his good children.
The former president retorted when asked his reaction to the move to reconcile him to all his estranged political supporters in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), “All my children are good children.”
The interview went thus; “How do you react to the move by some leaders of your party to reconcile you with some of your estranged political children?”
Obasanjo humorously responded: “All my children are good children. Do you have bad children, if you have bad children na your own toro”
The former president was besieged by Aviation Correspondents but he did not say anything again.
He walked leisurely to his GMC four-wheel-drive, boarded and departed with a stream of convoy.

Inflation is going up by the day. I hope we don't go the way of Zimbabwe.

Maybe, just maybe one day people would prefer to have an OBJ as president as against what we have today where after 15 months nothing concrete has been done rather things are getting worse from rising cost of diesel to rising cost of food and the impending removal of petroleum subsidy that will really usher in real hardship.

He may be right that we need to take our problems to God when all the structures are being dismantled by the present government and even former governors that were closer to jail are now free with the new EFCC focusing attention on other issues.

May God help us.

I want to believe that Nigeria has never been really blessed with committed leaders but self-seeking, shallow-minded, egocentric and eccentric people like OBJ, IBB and Abacha. Why was he seeking for third term when he knew that the problems of Nigeria are beyond him? Why did he impose a lackey on us when he knew that Umar and his lame duck Vice do not possess the right mental and leadership drive to move us forward after side-stepping his thieving Vice (Atiku).
If OBJ would have any cause to call on God's name, it should be to ask for forgiveness for wasting huge amount that produced nothing on aviation, power, steel etc while neglecting education and ASUU"s legitimate demands.

Golly Gee Arnold, I feel so ashamed and repentant for having falsely accused Obasanjo of stealing 16 billion US dollars when in fact he only stole 5 billion dollars. After all, what is a piddling 11 billion dollars between friends ?    Let us all rejoice over Mr. Arnold's comforting assurance that Nigeria's total and absolute electrical grid blackout is the result of former president Obasanjo stealing a MERE 5 BILLION US dollars, as opposed to an amount three times as large.   

With your permission, Arnold, I would like to propose that a national holiday should be organized yearly in Nigeria to commemorate the anniversary of this joyous revelation that the final destruction and death of Nigeria's electrical power was purchased by Obasanjo at a remarkable savings price-tag of 5 billion dollars instead of 16 billion dollars.  Perhaps an international award for prudent thievery and creative accounting could be established just for Obasanjo, to be presented alongside the Nobel Prizes that are awarded in Stockholm for other similarly inspirational feats of human accomplishment.

You are very right, Mrs. Magnet, and I agree with you entirely that if God had intended Nigerians to have access to electricity, they would all have been created with a 240-volt power outlet conveniently located in their butt-cracks.

It may just be time to (s)elect God Himself as President ASAP to fix the problem pronto.
What do we expect since we all believe everything is spiritual and queue up in churches/mosques and shrines for blessings and victory over our enemies.
