The boys in the Creeks of ND are keenly watching how things evolve. Everyone is wiser now. Do not expect a fold arm/ sit down/ watch response if anything happens to Jona in Aso Rock. We can heat up the polity as much as we want but we should also be ready to face the real and true consequences. It will only take less than one week to blow up our oil/ gas facilities to production of less than 10% of current output. By the time salaries can't be paid for 3 months... then shall anarchy be upon us. Currently we are battling B/H with little or no economic impact, add the Niger Delta re-insurgence to the equation and you understand the long predicted disintegration. Everyone should tread cautiously, any hasty action will have disastrous consequences. Unfortunately, Jona might just be the last president of a united nigeria from the current scheme of things.

economia: IS CALLING FOR PRESIDENT'S IMPEACHMENT A TREASON?
Treason could be any act by a citizen of a country that can create, raise or promote chaos, violence, security unrest. Etc. Also the act of inciting a people or group of persons to act against the leader of a nation is also Treason.which PDP can justify/prove with ACN statement . Though I'm not justifying or castigating either PDP or ACN's stance.

patriotic007: In countries where matured democracies are practiced, the opposition join hands with the ruling party after the elections to move the country forward,....But in Nigeria the opposition fights the ruling party for every seconds that makes up the 4yrs,....this is not good for development because the ruling party spends useful time and resources in fighting the opposition back, thereby neglecting some of its core duties,....At the end the masses are at the recieving end

i think this is the best comment i've read so far.

U said Ojukwu was selfish and that ibos were slaughtered like cows for suya. Anambra and Imo stood against ur so called federal might for 3year, until ur federal might sought d assistance of expertriates. What offence did Ojukwu commit? He was gallant and died gallantly unlike one nepotic man called awolowo, who was filled with treachery, mischief and above all a loquacious man. He tasted treasonable charges and as a result committed suicide by taking poison. Do we talk about balewa, ahmedu bello name them. All were purified by another gallant biafran Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu. Pray u don't wake a sleeping Tiger. Plz do not take d silence of a Lion to be act of cowardice. Ojukwu was more honourable than them all. Pray that there will be no more suya because we don't know whose beef will be d suya. Shalom

Mercenaries fought for the Biafrans in the Fourth Commando Brigade during the Nigerian Civil War, (1967–1970).[38] Other mercenaries flew aircraft for the Biafrans. In October 1966, for example, a Royal Air Burundi DC-4M Argonaut, flown by mercenary Heinrich Wartski, also known as Henry Wharton, crashlanded in Cameroon with military supplies destined for Biafra.[39] --- wikipedia

In 16 months of often brutal fighting, Nigerian federal troops have whittled Biafra down to one-tenth of its original area. They are now closing in on Umuahia, the secessionist state’s last major town and the current seat of Lieut. Colonel Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu’s movable government. Umuahia would have long since fallen had it not been for the exploits of the best unit in Ojukwu’s small army, Biafra’s Fourth Commando Brigade. Commanded by nine white mercenaries, the Fourth spent the first three months of the year operating behind Nigerian lines.

The state was formally recognised by Gabon, Haiti, Côte d'Ivoire, Tanzania and Zambia. Other nations which did not give official recognition but which did provide support and assistance to Biafra included Israel, France, Portugal, Rhodesia, South Africa and Vatican City.[2] Biafra also received aid from non-state actors, including Joint Church Aid, Holy Ghost Fathers of Ireland, Caritas International, MarkPress and U.S. Catholic Relief Services.[2]

the sly devil OBJ playing the tricks of the famous french politician of the 17th century politician joseph fouché who could always sense a sinking ship and changed ideologies. It severally kept his head away from the blades of the Guillotine of several governments who came into power.its inconcievable that the corrupt OBJ who picked (a laidback) GEJ himself to succed him would be his biggest enemy now when he would need protection the most.the thing is that people are begining to sense a weak government and a party that could collapse eventually if attacked.sadly OBJ is trying to improve his self image by appealing to the popular mood of many nigerians. He is playing the unsmart GEJ for a fool.

In what countries does that happen? Could you be kind to give one or two examples? FYI, the parties are termed OPPOSITION because they OPPOSE the ruling party. You Nigerians loves to talk about what you know little or nothing about like you are thesed in them. I believe most time when the opposition and ruling parties join together to work out a common solution in these socalled matured democracies, the country's existence had been threatened e.g. War. And even at that, an incompetent Government would still be made to resign.

bros, when you are ready for us to discuss that, kindly open another thread. Don't let us derail this.

Just note that other countries supported and assisted Biafra. Oyinbos also fought for you as mercenaries on the ground and flew your aircrafts, the same way Egyptians flew Nigerian MiGs.

STFU and quit wasting bandwidth with your sorry trash.

The aso rock bingo and his dullard master based their rubbish on something so why not just show us the part of APC's comment that wronged the constitution of Nigeria?

How hard is it to perform this elementary task?

Support your trash with exactly what was said how it violates the laws of Nigeria? Telling me the meaning of traitor and treason is redundant if you can not tell me what was said that = Treason.

How hard is it to support your endless rubbish with with reasons and facts? Dullards..
How old are you? Do you reason at all or simply treacherous in reasoning? Can't understand how you think with the garbage your thought is spewing?

If only you knew how wiser every region has got in the recent past. Do you ever foresee a sustained intimidation of the southerners? Only a geniuine cause borne out of a sincere desire to remedy a united Nigeria will forestall a utter breakdown of whatever sanity is left of our polity. The equation has since changed but people like you have refused to see it. Should I remind of you of what it used to be? Daily losses due to incessant strike in the creeks were quantified in billion USD.
I am not from the ND but this is my objective projection... Call me all the names you'll like but reality is staring us all in the face. The ongoing developments in our political sphere is one that could bring Nigeria to its knees economically and politically if handled in a haste. Some wise ones have relocated their families and some have since stopped further domestic investment in Nigeria. Our Oil majors are already one leg out investing heavily in Gabon, equitorial guinea, Ghana, angola; major long term field developments have long siezed; business models are portfolio based; focus is maximizing production of existing fields; Shell have sold onshore facilities at alarming rates, Total PLC sold their stake in Usan; Chevron has sold an asset as well in recent past; Mobil seems to be the major not selling. We might wake up one day to realise we are on our own. Heating up the polity pollutes the business environment. I repeat again, Nigeria as a united entity cannot stand the outcome of the evolving catastrophe. Jona might be the wrong guy for the presidency but we have to manage him carefully till he leaves office. We are already divided along ethnic and religious line and unfortunately there is nothing anybody can do abt it at the moment. Quote me in Dec 2015.
