CHAPTER 1

"Don't kill him!" Christina exclaimed as four
dark figures enclosed around her boyfriend,
"please."

It all began on a cold, winter's evening. It
was about the time of twilight, and Christina
was taking a stroll in the park, accompanied
by her boyfriend, Jake. What Christine didn't
know about her sweet, little boyfriend, was
that he was actually a vampire sweetheart. He
was a blood-sucking demon and killed like a
vicious, starving lion.

As they strolled through a nearby forest of
trees, the weather suddenly rectified and the
sky became dark, making the air foggy and
claustrophobic.

"It's gonna rain," said Jake as he peered up at
the blunt, dull looking sky, "I'd better get
you home."

"No," Christina objected, "kiss me."

And that was all it took, Jake pulled her in his
arm and planted a vigorous, but tender kiss
on her lips.

Christina wrapped her hands around his neck
and crushed her body to his. Instantaneously,
Jake pulled away from her, anger immediately
coloring his face.

"What?" Inquired Christina, agonized at his
sudden gesture.

"I should get you home," he replied and
started out the woods. Christina shadowed
his footsteps, when suddenly the earth began
to vibrate.

"Jake, what's going on!" She screamed as the
floor began to crack.

"I don't know!" He shouted back at her. He
was about to grab her up in his arms when
the earth splitting open and devoured him.
"Jake! Jake! Jaaaaaaake!!"

Christina opened her eyes and Jake was at her
side. "Ssh! Baby, I'm right here. Did you have
a bad dream?"

"I- it's alright," she muttered, "let's go back
to sleep."

The following day, a lot of queer things began
to happen to Christina. Firstly, someone was
stalking her and on her way to Biology, the
stranger, who wore a hideous mask, pulled
her into a closet and began to tie her up. She
began to scream when the person shoved a
piece of old cloth in her mouth.

Suddenly, Jake busted through the door and
attacked the masked stranger, ripping the
mask off his face. Christina attempted to
scrutinize the stranger when she suddenly
began to feel sleepy. The last thing she saw
was Jake's sapphire blue, diamond sparkling
eyes convert to a juicy ruby red.

When she awoke, she found herself lying in
an unfamiliar room, boarded with four plain
walls, sealed with long, golden curtains
hanging neatly against enclosed windows.

As she flexed her hands and sat up, the door
creaked open. Jake and a woman with
entangled curls entered the room. Jake held a
tray of food in his hands and wore a smirk
that Christina never saw before.

"It is time you know about my profile," he
began as he paused at her side, "you will
need to have a full stomach for this."

CHAPTER 2

Christina couldn't believe what she had just
heard; she was stunned beyond belief. As she
attempted to throw herself across a cliff, she
recapped on what Jake told her, about his
true identity the previous night.

"It was mid-spring, and my family had gone
on a business trip to Mexico for a grand
festival known as, 'Festa Grande'. My parents
left me home to attend my little cousin and...
well something about Lily always seemed a
bit off."

He passed to-and-fro across the cold, solid
concrete, while the woman looked at me
incredulously.

"You see Christina, I always had strong,
profound instincts and this is the very reason
why I chose you as my love; because I have
the gift of truth. I am able to detect a
person's true perception, any filthy train of
thought and... well I can read your heart like
a book. Upon that night, something
happened; something that most definitely
changed my life forever."

Christine cringed for she feared what was
coming. "I was always a bit too theatrical,
but anyway; it was around 3 in the morning.
I heard Lilly weeping meekly; so like any big
cousin, I went to check her out and ensure
everything was ok. As I opened the door, I saw the most ugly creature, blood-engulfed
teeth, fire inflated, bulky eyes, wearing a
black cave, decorated with bones that marked
the spot x, standing there, in the corner; by
a huge pool of blood." Jake trailed off, still
utterly petrified at the vulgar, horrifying
memories.

"She is dead. The blood-sucking demon
drained her blood. My little cousin had
special powers; she was able to cease time as
well as take time." Christina was so confused
at the escalating term of events, which her
boyfriend tried so hard to explain. Through
his mixed emotions and terrible heartaches,
he loved his cousin as if she were his little
sister. He always looked out for her. It was
so painful, so tragic, so blatant, he just
couldn't continue.

"Christina, I am a vampire." He finally
admitted, "I was turned that night."

A tear leaked from her eye as she looked
down from the cliff. She loved Jake so much,
but she was so afraid that he would hurt her.
"What if he killed me?" She thought, and
flinched back, "I love him so much."

Suddenly, she heard footsteps behind her. As
she turned around, her heart froze. Four
figures emerged from the darkness; each
dressed up in a black cave and looked exactly
like what Jake had described the sadistic
murderer, who murdered Lily. They smirked
evilly at her. Christina began to shake, unsure
of what to do.

As the demonic, blood-sucking
demons enclosed around her, something
rapidly cross the field, lunching two of the
four vampires aside. It was Jake; he came to
rescue his only love. Christina balled her
hands up into fists and cupped them
together, as she witnessed the devastating
battle.

The lady, who was with Jake the
previous night, appeared from the shadows
and began to dismember one of the vampires
while on the other hand, one escaped. It
seemed as if Jake and his lady friend would
win the battle, but suddenly the earth began
to move, and fire pelted from the sky.

"Jake!" Christina screamed, as rocks were
thrown helter-skelter. The rocky, floor
cracked and Christina went tumbling over the
cliff when she grabbed hold of a rock, rooted
in one of the creaks. Jake was flown across
the field and into a tree. The demon was at
his throat, and was about to kill him.

Christina was on the verge of death, as she
hung from the edge of a cliff and the woman
was having a fierce battle with her opponent.
The world was practically falling apart, and
everyone was doomed.

CHAPTER THREE

Jake's POINT OF VIEW

There she was, at the edge of a cliff, but I
can't save her, I just can't. They've got me
entangled in this stupid tree bark.

" Urgh... urgh... I want to break free. Christina needs
me. I closed my eyes tightly and said a silent
prayer. Rocks practically flung themselves
everywhere. We were all doom, we are all... Wait, what's that?

As I opened my eyes, I saw a blinding light, it
shone so bright that I thought I was dead,

"Jesus, is that you lord?" I couldn't believe
myself, this was some deep shit. I couldn't
hear nor see and then slowly, it all came
back to me.

Firstly, I had realized that I was
lying on my bed. I checked the calendar, it
was June 9th; June 9th, and do you know
what this meant? I had four hours to rescue
Christina;

"Christina," I breathed. I had to
save her. I jumped off my bed and phoned
Anil, Seek, Rafael and June. It's time to kick
some ass!
As we gathered in the bushes, I glimpsed my
love, her face looked troubled.

"They're
coming." Rafael hissed as his fists inflated.
He darted out in the clearing and lunched
fireballs everywhere. Seek and June began to
dismember two of the four creatures.

I began
to attack one, it was big and man is he
strong. He flung me into a tree but I
crouched down and fired a Jet Lee at him,
sending him into another tree.

"Five minutes
guys!" I yelled as I beheaded my victim. One,
two, three... the place grew quiet and as I
looked around, I saw that all was well.

"Oh shit!" I gasped, sprinting towards the
cliff. "Chrissie... Chrissie!

" She was on the
verge of death but I managed to pull her up,
into my arms.

"Jake, I'm soarr..." I planted a
tender kiss on her lips.

"Everything's alright,"
I assured her.

"Jake, what the hell just
happened! I could have sworn time repeated
it..."

I hushed her with another, profound
kiss and left her breathless.

"Baby, let me get
you home and I'll explain everything; please,
just don't date anymore cliffs."

CHAPTER 4

Christina’s POINT OF VIEW

I finally came to understand what had
happened yesterday; this world is filled with
all sorts of mystical creatures, it really isn’t
funny.

As I sat bluntly at my bedroom
window, staring aimlessly at the setting sun,
that patterned rays of orange and purple
above its head. I contemplated on what
seemed more like an endless fantasy than
morbid reality.

My boyfriend had told me that the creatures
who attacked us were not vampires; they
were debukes.

A debuke is a powerful demon
that has been prohibited from entering the
gates of heaven, so they tour the earth,
causing anguish to others, especially helpless
humans such as myself.

It is said that if four
very invincible debukes gather near a human,
it can result in a constriction of time,
because debukes belong in the spirit world.

The world was going to fall apart because of
me; I bowed my head ashamed of my absurd
behavior, as a recondite of tears gushed
down my face.

I couldn’t understand why
faith saw me better off in this cold, dark
world. I felt so isolated but then I thought
about Jake and his supreme unique abilities.

I
thought about his brothers; Zeek who could
bend ice, Rafael who created fire from his
own overheated body temperature, Anil who
was inhumanely strong and his sister June
who had the gift of flexibility. She was a little
too pretty; I flinched at the thought of Jake
hitting on her.

"Knock, knock!" I was suddenly disoriented
from my daydream,

"Huh, come in." I
hopped off of my mother’s rocking chair and
advanced to the door.

"Hellow, honey, how
are we today?"

"Shit! Shit!" That was my
drunken father, Billy. Ever since my mother
had died from Leukemia, he’s been wrecked.
Beads of perspiration streamed down my face
as he stepped closer to me.

"No, don’t hurt
me again." I whimpered as sobs ripped from
the back of my throat.

"This won’t take
long," he murmured with a grin.
His trousers dropped to the floor and I shut
my eyes and began to scream as he pushed
me on the bed, climbing on top of me.

"Ssh," he whispered in my ears. I screamed
as he drove into me,

"Get off!" I squealed
like a squealing car tire, my voice reaching
ever new heights of ululation. It hurt so bad,
I wanted Jake.

All of a sudden, Billy was flung
into the dressing table and my damp eyelids
fluttered open.

"No, no…" It was Jake, but I
got this weird feeling he was going to hurt
me. He took me gently in his arms.

"Christina, I’m so sorry. Baby?" He looked
into my eyes and anguish gripped my insides.
I saw pure, raging fury building up in his
eyes for they were now a juicy blood-red.

A low hiss echoed from behind and my eyes
automatically shifted to the direction it was
coming from. I managed to see that
mysterious curly hair lady since the night
Jake told me everything about himself.

She
was looking at me now with a smile placed on
her face. Suddenly, it wasn't a smile
anymore, her lips pulled back, revealing a
menacing contortion of teeth, complimented
with huge fangs.

She growled like a German
Shepherd and sprinted towards her prey, my
dad.

"No!" I bellowed, not sure if I cared
whether he died or not. Jake took off with
super speed and I felt as if we were dancing
on air. His body moved so gracefully.

Before
I could stare up at his beautiful round face, I
saw that we were at his place. I was already
being laid on his bed. Then it came to me that I was just in my T-
Back vest and my laced panties.

"Chrissie, it’s
ok," he told me as he pulled the covers over
me. The door creaked open and June, along
with her brother entered.

Their eyes all
glowing a bright red and I knew they weren't
particularly happy about the happening. A
million questions buzzed through my mind,

"Did they kill Billy? And who was that dawn
curly-haired woman?" My heartbeats were
getting a little too uncontrollable.

"Thump,
thump, thump!" Jake rolled back the sheets,
staring intently into my eyes. God, I love him
so much, yet I’m so scared.

"I love you as
well Christina, you don’t have to be afraid."
He told me. Shit, I forgot he could read
minds.

"I should have seen this coming, it’s
all my…"

"Don’t even blame yourself!" I
gulped, feeling the tears coming. He kissed
my forehead and assured me that everything
would be ok. He rolled down the covers, till
my panties were exposed and I suddenly felt
embarrassed.

Jake chuckled and signaled the others to
leave. When the door was shut behind them,
he placed his hand to the tip of my panties.

"What are you…"

"I’m not going to hurt
you." He quickly assured. I held still as his
hand slipped between my thighs and moved
to the place where I’d been hurt. I shifted
uncomfortably as his figures slipped up
inside me. I closed my eyes tightly while one
hand grasped his shoulders.

A mild groan
escaped from my lips, as it felt so good, yet
it hurt. He then removed his hands, and I felt
better. All the previous aches and sores I felt
was gone.

"All better," he smirked. I had
totally forgotten that Jake could heal. He
leaned in towards me and crushed his lips
with mine.

"I knew you liked that," he purred
into my ear. Simultaneously, the door busted
open, and Ms. Curly hair, mystery woman
barged in.

"I knew I had something to tell
you Christina," Jake whispered into my ear
before straightening up, "And it’s time I told
you."

CHAPTER 5

Mystery Woman's POINT OF VIEW

Her bulky blue eyes stared at me intently,
how was I going to break the news to her?
What if she hates me? "Are you ready?" Jake
asked me. I swallowed hard and took a step
nearer to the bed. 'Well, here goes nothing.' I
thought as I sat down beside her. "Hellow
Crissy," I began, my eyes fixated on her
weary face, "I am Maya, your mother." She
perked her lips and shook her head, a well of
tears ready to pour from her eyes any
minute. "Christina, I know this is hard for
you, but I need you to give me the benefit of
the doubt here, ok?" She just stared blankly
at me. "Ok?" I repeated, already feeling
defeated. "The reason I didn't come to you
before is because I couldn't. You see Crissy, I
wanted you to have a normal life; I couldn't
bear to see you go through what I had to go
through. Becoming a vampire is not as easy
as you think it is honey. Once converted to a
vampire, you become empirically impossible
to control and this stage is known as, "Blood
bath" and it occurs for the first 3 years of
your new life. You see Crissy, when my heart
stopped beating five years ago, I hadn't died,
at least not for long. I was bitten." "Bitten by
who?" She inquired, mystified at my life
story, "I-I-I was bitten by Jake."

The room grew in a defining silence. I quickly
stole a glance at Jake who looked like if he
were taking this more hard than I. "Crissy,
baby, I'm so sorry. Christina that was the
same night my little cousin had been killed
by those..." I cut him off by raising my hand,
signaling him to let me do the talking.
"Christina, despite the current situation and
the detrimental consequences, Jake is a fine
young man and he will take care of you, but
you must open up to us, you have to let us in
Chris." I looked at my baby girl. I just
wanted to cuddle her in my arms, I wanted
to comfort her and tell her that mummy is
here; that I'm not going anywhere. "He bit
me that night. His intention was to kill me
out of fury, but something made him stop.
He had realized that he just needed someone
to talk to, he just needed a mother." "So I
left the venom to spread and after twenty-
four hours, she had transformed." Jake
relented, bemused at Christina's stunning
calmness. "I was in the hospital that night, I
thought the doctors could have told me what
was happening to me and why I couldn't
breathe, yet I live, but my overwhelming
thirst got the better of me so I slaughtered
them all. But it was something about your
dying mother, that withdrew my pains. I had
to let her live." Christina's eyes began to
water and I saw in her eyes that she longed
for me to embrace her.

I took her in my arms and comforted her like
any mother would comfort their baby. I told
her that I was sorry over and over again. It
hurt my unbeating heart to see her like this.
"I knew you wouldn't recognize me Crissy
because of the venom, because so strong and
overpowering, sustained my life yes, but it
resculpted my figure into a new being." I
eyed Jake suspiciously as he silently left the
room. He mouthed something about leaving
me to bond with Christina before he left. "I
love you mummy, I missed you so much.
Don't ever leave me again mummy." She
cried and cried her eyes out in my chest. I
just held her and sobbed, tearless broken
sobs. "I couldn't believe my eyes when Billy
hurt you. I couldn't believe what my passing
had done to his mentality. I had to kill him,
how dear he hurt you." My baby cried
herself to sleep, so I gently rested her back
onto the bed and pulled the warm blankets
over her. "Sleep well my little angel." I
whispered to her, kissing her forehead.

As I strolled towards the window, looking up
at the star-filled sky, I thought about my life
and how it had changed over time. I thought
about Christina and how I would have never
seen her again, and then I thought about
Billy and what our broken love had done to
him. I sighed as I shut the windows and
pulled down the curtains. Life is not just
about living; it's about losing the less
important things to receive something better.
The steady relationship that I'd form with
Jake and his coven grew into an unbreakable
connection, a connection that I would kill
for. My daughter, she was my priority now, I
was sure of this. I will never let her go again.
She is the only love in my life now, the only
part of me unchanged.

CHAPTER 6

Christina's POINT OF VIEW

I don’t know what is real from what isn’t
anymore. I’m just happy that mum’s back,
although it seems a bit awkward but hey, I’m
dating a vampire. My dead biological father
was a drunken- abusive son of a… "Christina,
can I come in?" That was Jake’s voice, he
sounds disturbed. "Well he should be, all this
life and death situations are tearing my mind
apart." I thought. I hopped off the bed and
opened the door to let him in. He kissed me
at once and I ruffled his bronze, semi-curled
hair. "Good morning beautiful," he breathed
into my ear as we embraced. "Hi," I
murmured. He dropped his arms and stared
intently into my eyes. "You’re bothered," he
accused. "No, I’m fine."

"Baby, who can see right through lies here,
me or you?" I inwardly cringed," Good
point." He chuckled as June and Zeek walked
in. "Hello Christina, I’m Jake and this is
Zeek." Zeek winked at me and I smiled at him
shyly. "I thought it would be best if you’d get
acquainted with your family," Jake playfully
whispered in my ear, "Oh, I see… well I’m
Christina Lee." "Oh, I thought you were
mixed with Chinese." June expressed as she
approached my side. "How about we do some
girl bonding," she suggested casually. I
shrugged; I wasn’t the shopping type and
rarely went out. She frowned slightly and I
immediately felt guilty. "Alright, how about
we go to the mall." I hated the mall; I mean
what’s the fun in window shopping and
drooling over cuties that had no guarantee of
being interested in you. Her face lit up in
excitement and I wished the earth would split
open and devour me."

"Seems as if you girls have a lot of catching
up to do," Zeek commented as he got two
glasses from God knows where. I observed
him; he took the glasses and laid them on the
dressing table and placed his hand over the
glass and, "Pop!" Massive cubes of ice
dropped themselves into the glasses. I
flinched back, ending up in Jake’s arms. I
heard his chuckles in my hair and I rolled my
eyes annoyed. "This will take a while to get
used to," I pointed out innocently. "Here,
have a drink." Zeek offered, passing me a
glass of fresh lemonade. "Thanks," I said with
a smile. "Here, sit down," Jake told me,
leading me to a chair. "Mmh, this is great!" I
exclaimed after taking the first sip. Zeek’s
face brightened and his spiky hair bloomed in
the morning's light. "Baby, I’m gonnah leave
you to your girl stuff k, I love you." Jake
said, straightening a loose strand of straying
hair. He kissed me silently and left. "So, first
of all," June began," You’ve got to shower."

Later that day June and I advanced to
Cambridge where we shopped endlessly. I
bought the latest notebooks, parker games,
an iPad Touch, a parcel of makeup, a makeup
set, new high heels and profuse dresses.
"That dress looks really nice on you," June
complimented as I stepped out of the
dressing room. "Well, I’ll buy it!" I was so
amazed at how wealthy Jake and his family
were, I didn’t grow up in a rich household,
my mum and dad had to work their buts of,
just to foot the bill. I quickly shoved that old
memory to the back of my head, as we exited
the mall. "You know Christina, I really like
you. You’re so lighthearted and friendly. I’m
glad Jake met you." I smiled at June
welcomingly and thanked her for such kind
words. She was so tiny and breakable; I
sometimes find myself wondering how she
stood up to those nasty creatures.

We sat in Ruby Tuesday and ordered some
food while we awaited the boys to come and
collect us. "Christina, how old are you?" June
asked as she viewed her menu. "I’m…" I
hesitated, "18, why?" "Nothing, I just thought
you were older. You are very mature,
especially after all the troubles you’ve been
through." She was so right. I chewed on an
apple while June placed in our order. I
glanced around the room and saw everyone
having a good time. "I’m happy," I finally
concluded to myself. Just then, Jake, Zeek
and my mum, entered through the front
doors and immediately spotted us. "Hey," I
greeted as they all took a seat. "Hi honey,"
replied my mum. I was so happy at that
moment. "Baby, have you…" "Great you guys
are here!" June interrupted," Don’t trouble
your heads, I’ve placed in an order for
everyone." And we had a marvelous evening
at Ruby Tuesday, an evening beyond measure.

Narrative - Chapter 7

Jake was sprawled upon the floor, venom
inhabiting every inch of his system. He
yelped and screamed for help, but no one
came to his aid. The killer vampire who had
done this to him had taken Lily; leaving
another human's blood behind as the bait.
The vampire crushed the baby against his
chest as he sprinted through the night. On
arrival at the center of the woods; he was
greeted by four creatures; the very same
creatures who had attacked Christina on that
night. They knew about Lily's capabilities, for
her parents were humpires meaning that they
were half-human, and half-vampire. They
wanted to use the baby to control the world
and what better way to do this, than being
able to freeze and take time. The vampire
who took Lily is called Chac, a name the
Mayans give to their rain God. His dominions
were Zeal, Appolos, Chyne and Artus who all
had no special powers but strength.

Chac trained Lily and grew her up into
becoming one of them, evil and ready to kill
at any cause. As Lily was a humpire, she
matured quickly, thus in 3 years time, she

objected in doing evil and she would be
brutally punished by Chac or the others, so
she would do what they told her to, just to
avoid another beating. One day Lily decided
to run away and successfully did so. Ever
since, Chac and his serpents roamed the
earth in search of Lily, but little did they
know Lily was always within reach, but kept
her distance from them.

On that day when she spotted Christina in the
clearing, something seemed familiar about
her. She had suddenly felt a connection with
Christina and Jake. Although Lily was only a
baby when Jake watched her, she knew him
very well, besides Chac kept a family photo
that included her parents, as well as Jake.
When the creatures were after Christina and
the others had shown up, Lily had thought
they'd execute them, but when she saw that
they were losing the battle, she did the only
thing she could to save them, she rewind the
hours to the start of the day.

On the next account of the accident, Lily
didn't go to the clearing, instead she decided
to hunt down Chac and reap not just revenge
for her, but for Jake. She was going to
scourge him, she was going to boil,
dismember, beat and destroy that demon
who took life from her, and at no cause was
she going to stop. She will stop at no cause
till they were all dead.

CHAPTER 8

Lily's POINT OF VIEW

"Dear Jake, I know you thought I had died
but I... never mind that, I just want you to...
ugh! Look, don't think this isn't me because...
Ugh!"

I'm so frustrated; I can't write this letter! I
can't do it, I just can't face him. What if he
sees me as a traitor? What if his family
despises me for being an humpire. I can't do
it, I just can't! Wait, what is that I hear;
footsteps? I quickly dive off the old, rusty
motel bed and plunge at the door, but before
I could even reach the doorknob, the door
flings open. "Hellow baby." Oh shit! Oh, no!
That was Chac, but how had he found me.
"Stay away from me." I warned, raising my
hands in defense, "I'll fucking kill you, you..."
Chac flings me into a wall, but I land in a
crouch. "Listen to me you nagging bitch,
because of you, my dominions are dead,
gone, and vanished. Do you know what I'm
going to do to you." I hiss at him and spring
for attack.

I launch a massive blow at him, sending him
into the window. He growls viciously and
runs into me, but I bite into his neck and
fling him into the cupboard. I crouch down,
exposing my huge, vivid fangs. He pulls back
his lips and reveals his decaying teeth and
once again I spring for attack. He darts to
my previous position, causing me to collide
into the cupboard. "You fucking bitch!" I
bellowed as I break the mirror with my torso.
"You're not ready for me Lily; you are shit,"
he said as he chuckle, "When you're ready
like fucking Freddy, let me know."

He jumps through the broken window,
causing the remaining louvers to shatter in
pieces. "Ah Bleep!" I exclaim as I realize that I
was bleeding. This is the disadvantage an
humpire has, I still had blood pulsing
through my veins. Without bothering to clean
up myself, I grab a cigarette from the
drawer, pull the lighter from my panties and
light the cigarette. I shove it in my mouth
and begin smoking as I contemplate on
whether I should go after the son of the
bitch or not. I suddenly realize that the bitch
could put up a fight and would probably nail
my ass. I need backup; I needed Jake and his
families help. I have to find them and this
time, it has to be in person. I bite my bottom
lip as I out the dawn thing with my fingertip
and go to take a shower.

The next day, I set out on my task; my first
would be to hop on the next plane to Jackson
Ville. I grumble to myself as I sit among
pathetic human beings, not caring how they
stared at me as if I were an outsider. "All call
for Jacksonville 8:30 passengers, please
board the aircraft." That is my flight; I get
out my chair, take my carry-on parcel which
has a bunch of cigarettes in it, along with my
iPod, and stroll towards my flight. As I board
the aircraft and attempt to find the section
that said, "Smoking section." I collided into
something, "I'm truly sorry." Oh shit! That
isn't a thing; that is a beautiful, handsome
young man. "I- I- I..." What the Bleep! I'm so
not the dearly type. "You stay the Bleep away
from me!" I snap and walk towards my
section.

I felt his gaze lingering on my back, but I
didn't care. I sit down in a vacant row and
got out my iPod. "I didn't get your name,"
"Huh." I said, disoriented from my music.
It's that stupid man from before. What! He's
sitting beside me. I quickly got up, expecting
to move but the plane began to move, so I
felt right back down into my seat. "Why don't
we get to know each other," he says as he
takes out his lighter. "I'm Jamal and you
must be Lily." I know he didn't just say my
name, "How the fu..." "Lily, I'm your
protector, they sent me." "They? Who they?"
I'm totally confused. What the hell is going
on? "The great ones," he whispered, "they
are the most powerful, most lethal vampires
of our kind and they find you very special.
They know you are in trouble, so they sent
me to protect you." I gulped sarcastically.
"This is some deep shit!"
