Thanks for the info, I know of guys applying for DE with B.Sc degree, if such a person applies for the same course with an NCE holder, will their CGPA be seen as same? Will the same calculation be applied for them? I don't know, but I don't think so. I guess there are other screening methods they apply

if d CGPA is 4 or 5 or woteva dats wot dey will use to divide it.e.g 3:90multiply by 40divide by 4/5/6/7 dependn n ur CGPA..oda screenin methods lyk d skul u graduated frm,ur DE aggregate points ,ur o'level n woteva u tink DATS it...u.i is fair nt strict as u pple tink

if am corect overall CGPA for poly is 4,nce 5,most universities 5 except u.i dat uses 7,dnt knw of odas...

Gideonaire: Thank you, sigolisis. I already have the certificate. Only certificate and transcript are being given at my school anyway. But I was told the transcript will only be required when a D.E candidate has already been selected to continue his/her studies at any choice of school. Now, I think schools can only send your transcript once and following this issue of submitting before the screening exam going on here, I am kinda lost. And another important aspect of the transcript is that it is always being addressed to your intending school choice from your initial school. What if after the screening a student would not pass the screening exam? What then will happen if such student would want to try D.E next year, probably this time not UI? Who will address the school such person would be trying out next? And there you have a transcript already addressed to the University of Ibadan i.e if you even have the document file with you.

You raised a good arguement we can all reason and discuss. Firstly, you can always apply for your transcript as many times as possible, provided you can pay the bill. Having said that, you can get your transcript back if your admission didn't work out, I'm talking from experience. The day I went to submit my transcript at the admission office in UI 2yrs ago, I saw my name as number six already on the admission list out of ten people admitted through DE, after the celebration as I made towards the door out of the office, one of them noticed that I had ignorantly submitted two o'level results instead of one as required by my dept of choice. I cried (there was no clue as at that time regarding one sitting for medicine and pharmacy unlike now), I lost the admission, but before I left the admission office that day, I asked if I could take back my transcript that I just submitted and they said why not since the admission did not work out and my transcript with hundreds of others were just starring at me from a carton right in front of them there. I thereafter re-used the same transcript in the same UI though. That is possible with another sch also, only the envelope and address will change, just make sure you don't alter any of your subjects and grades because they will find out sooner or later

It's possible since utme list comes out b4 DE list, they are different qualifications and they know you'll always prefer DE (200L) to utme (100L) but you can only register for one.

I have a BSc. and I applied for DE to Medicine.

As at last year, no test. The only screening is verification of credentials. Call for submission of transcript and online submission of results will be made public on UI website any moment from now. Thank God post utme is out of the way, the focus is now on DE. Get your transcript ready, some people have submitted theirs.
