REMOTE is the key word or is Lagos a remote area?? How did u pass your O'Level exams?? You slept with your teachers, innit??
Remote and Ilesha has nothing in common. You must be delusional by calling Ilesha remote. What is in Abeokuta that is not in Ilesha? ewure, don't get on my nerves this evening,

Is it not time to go to the bar and drink on credit?

Ilesha is a remote area. . . . . . With ur dusty roads and a weather-beaten Palace, is that what u call civilization??
There are more goats than human beings in any area u go in Ilesha.
Every landlady sells akara balls. grin cheesy smiley
The next national census would count the goats as people with the way things are going.

Like ur King does?? Why was his palace razed??
Drinking on credit and his reluctance to pay after 13 mths. tongue

I've been so touched by this thread.

My friends working for oil companies will leave their jobs because their companies have been involved in Human rights' abuse in the niger delta.

Those working in the police force will have to leave since their boys collect "egunje" even if they don't do it personally.

My parents are retired civil servants, otherwise, I would have persuaded them to leave the service since they ultimately work for the goverment, and we all know the government is corrupt. if you or your parents are still in service, please consider leaving the job.

Oh yes the pharmacists will also leave because some people can abuse the drugs they manufacture.

I believe you know that many illicit, happy-home breaking, sultry adulterous affairs start with a free ride, so my friends that have anything to do with car manufacturing, sales or repairs will leave their jobs too.

My banker friends are not spared. Don't ask me why. We all know that money is the root of all evil, and what else do you find in banks? Money. Did I hear you say fine chikitos and dudes? that's another reason why they must leave the banking jobs.

All my friends in the hospitality business (from fast food joints to hotel chains) will leave their job because people take babes to those fast food joints to prepare for some illicit business or to initiate adulterous relationships. They then wrap up the job by commiting fornication in hotel rooms.

Thanks for opening my eyes jare. By the way the computer is an instrument of satan o. pornography everywhere. My IT friends will have to leave their jobs too.

Me? I will be here to monitor those of my friends that remain online after this submission. And don't even say anything about my job because I have to feed all these people that are going to leave their jobs. Wait a minute, there's no point since I can't feed all these mouths alone. I guess I'll leave my job too and we'll go found a church.

well done.

@ poster

case closed.

WE Christians are hypocritical over too many issues. your friend should do wat he is comfortable with, Anything done without faith is sin. And good luck on the job search, the career and Job threads are on another section.
Re: Can A Christian Work At A Brewery? by samueloo(m): 10:16pm On Aug 19, 2008
i believe there is more to this issue at hand than just passing a mere judgement across, christainity is a personal decision you make without any external pressure pushing you to get into it,so therefore when you are born again there is a level of liberty you posess and you better let no one question your liberty, and whats my point,no online counsel or physical counsel can convince you on what to do to keep your faith except the conviction of The Holyspirit. because He's always there to convict us of sin, don't b surprise if in dat same breweries are Holyghost filled tongues speaking xtains and u are trying to get in and The same Holyghost that gave another person a go ahead says 2 u don't go. so i't between u and Him.

Re: Can A Christian Work At A Brewery? by AKO1(m): 11:18pm On Aug 19, 2008
Ok haven read through this thread I have discovered that the wine that Jesus made from water may actually have been alcholic. So what the bible is against is excessive drinking a.k.a drunkeness.

Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

1Ti 3:8 ¶ Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;

Some have suggested that just he should not turn down the job simply because he'll be well paid; and this is 'Nigeria'.

In principle, money-consciousness is not the best yard stick for decision making.

Should a christian work in a brewery? Its a conscience thing, unfortunately (generally speaking) some peoples' consciences are almost numb because they deliberately go against it ever so often.

As someone who is a born again Christian and who truly believes in God, it is completely wrong for you to work in such companies even though you might not be working in any of the deparments dealing with the production of alcohol or the ciggaretes but think of it this way, other young believers outside might misconceive the reason why you work there and might not even know you dont deal directly with such products hence the might be mislead by your actions which eventually becomes a sin to God.
Re: Can A Christian Work At A Brewery? by frag(m): 12:04am On Aug 20, 2008
My country pple na wa for this poster o. What has religion got to do with where you work? Religion is a thing of the mind and you shall be judged on that and not where you work. He should leave the job if he wants to starve and see if God created him to be stupid. Na wa o,this fake religious pple self na so so mumu talk full their mouth.

@Olugbono,
If you were in his shoes, will you quit that job especially when there is no offer at hand or will you just hang in there until God provides a more christian job?
Re: Can A Christian Work At A Brewery? by olugbon01(m): 12:51am On Aug 20, 2008
if i am a true christian, i will not even think of working there. think of what the bible said about eating foods sacrificed to idols and then compare it to the issue on ground

proverb 23:29
who has woe?
who has sorrow?
who has contentions?
who ahs complaints?
who has wounds without cause?
who has redness of eyes?
those who linger long at the wine,(alcohol)
those who go in search of mixed wine (alcohol)
the above verse tells us that drinking alcohol is not good, therefore since its drinking is not permitted by God, , i don`t think it is good for christain to work in a brewery. , thanks

The answer:

olugbon01:

Dont you know there is alcohol in the hospital?? Even the cough mixture you drank a couple of days back contains alcohol!!!
Have you not heard of chemical warfare?? DOnt you know that chemicals can be EXTREMELY toxic and 'dangerful'??

Amazing the extent of people's hypocrisy. Truly amazing!!! grin grin

Barbing salon, Redemption Camp, Cannan Land.

But christain should not sell recharge cards because men send 'credits' to their illicit lovers. Not work in telecoms companies because sinners use phones to set up sinful appoinments and dates.

"computer is an instrument of satan " where did u get dat?

why will I go for something if am not sure if its good or bad!

if ur conscience condemns you please stay away

But we have Christians working in our Breweries. I think it's a matter of self control.
