@ Muki & others! You and i know Old trafford is a fortress, sincerely its not a matter of self consolation, if Roma which i consider the Italian version of Bolton can fluff their chances like that, then they are in trouble. They ran us ragged during the second stanza of the game but their inability to kill the game off with 10 men united is their greatest undoing. There is a heck to play for ,all we need is a 1-0 and we sail through. Hmm, abi Muki do you need a sermon on the away goal rule ? . Wazza's goal was the anitidote to this defeat. IMO, i feel we are in a better position than Chelsea, If chelsea can draw at the ulmighty bridge, then they would se hell when Baraja and morientes would be back in spain. Scholesy, what can i say? His tackles has got to be the most wayward in English football, the first one was totally uncalled for, the second one was sheer stupidity. Now we are much more limited in the team. Our bench sucks like jacksh@t, Imagine Oshea and fletcher coming in? . Anywoo, What i know is that anytime we loose, we go on a winning streak and that would send the likes of Watford out of the FA cup, bamboozle portsmouth out of the way and Roma would meet their match come next week! |

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by rikkyjen(m): 10:22pm On Apr 04, 2007 |
mukina2: Muki dear, why are you having the female version of agro simply because United lost? . And all you do is saying Arsenal got to the finals last season, lol . Do you think UEFA would recognise runner-ups and inscribe their names on the club. You got to the final last season and you had to poision 'em spuds players to play CL this season, right? Instead of you to go lick ur wounds quiestly. Those wounds reek of ur teams serial losses. FYI Spuds and Bolton ur perrenial wives are on the way, the way arsenal is playing, Y'all would have to contend for a Uefa cup. U copy? |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Mustay(m): 10:22pm On Apr 04, 2007 |

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by akinwunmi(m): 10:33pm On Apr 04, 2007 |
@Debosky Like i said man U r DUMB.Away Goals ends in Semi Final as long as theres H/A away goal counts. If you knw nothing about soccer go do ur homework aiight. If i must spell it out to you Chelsea 1- 2 Val. So you guys have to score 2 clear goals of whtever the scores will be aiight. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by rikkyjen(m): 10:39pm On Apr 04, 2007 |
mukina2: Good, its nice to see you are mellowing! Baby, i agree with all what you said, but Arsenal come second? You must be in la-la land . How nan you come second when Chelsea aint loosing points and United blazing. Well, you might come second next season behind united but not this season.Do you think Mourinho is ready to loose his job?. Have asked you b4, should we give you Dong Fanzuqo ? All ur forward line except T14 needs to be in Uniteds Youth team polishing their shooting skills. Does Baptiista thinks he is playing copa Liverbradore or wateva, where is the supposed beast in him? |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by debosky(m): 10:39pm On Apr 04, 2007 |
where did this uncivilised rabble rouser come from? I know you have problems reading, thats why you couldn't understand that I said a 'win' is not necessary for qualification. Did I say away goals go on after Semi finals? and what are you spelling out? chelsea 1-2 Val? was that the score you dreamed up or what? Oh I see, the dementia is setting in because the scum lost tonight. akinwunmi: please speak a language we understand, your babbling gibberish is really difficult to comprehend. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by mukina2: 10:45pm On Apr 04, 2007 |
rikkyjen: he left the beast somewhere and became a bee instead but wait chelski will drop points soon enuff .it will be nice to see maureen lose his job so he can stop yappin and our ears and eyes will be saved from drama we do not need Dong Fanzuqo or anyone . its a mater of time .they'll learn from their mistakes every team has its bad day .ours is this season |

how is losing 2-1 coming out tops?? you really need to stop talking nonsense |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 11:41pm On Apr 04, 2007 |
we needed an away goal and we got it. an away goal is better that 2 home goals. lets wait for the match at the theatre of dreams. roma played nada. they played nothing. tottii was out of the match., he didn't do anything except for the free kicks and a shot at van der sar. i really expected more from roma. they were ordinary and the goals too were ordinary. a deflection and a rebound. . i'm not making excuses but the referee spoilt the whole game.so many wrong calls, so many stupid decisions. beautiful goal by rooney. beautiful run from ronaldo as usual. really proud to be united. all we need to do at old trafford is win 1-0, . .and we are thru. Thank God saha is back. very very achievable cos the roma team i saw today is very very beatable. PROUDLY UNITED |

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by manu4laif: 11:44pm On Apr 04, 2007 |
@reds, Europe is an exciting place to be and today was a wonderful night in Europe.Lets look at the strong points first 1.Wayne Rooney scored his first goal since the Fenerbache massacre and what a goal!Wazza has announced himself in Europe and he has scored at a time many were beginning to have doubts. His contributions was good.Great. 2.With 10 men from early in the game we were able to hold off a team that was touted by many to be fantastic and ready to run roughshod over everyone. Against vociferous support at the Olympico all we conceeded was 2 goals. If the situation were reversed I doubt the outcome would have been the same. 3.Our makeshift defence acquited themselves extremely honourably in the circumstances.Rio was good.Kudos to the guys who had to work overtime today. 4.Ronny did extremely well considering he had 3-4 escorts every time he touched the ball.OT will be so sweet. 5.We scored the all-important away goal. Very Crucial. 6.Apart from scholsy everone that played today should be eligible for OT next week. Negatives: 1.scholsey: he should never mark.We will miss him in the second leg just like we missed him against Juve in 99 but hey ? 2.Saha needs to get back quickly and not go back again.I thought he could be the key today but well. . . 3.Our bench looks shaky . No excuses just looks abit shaky Verdict: We're still in it. Trust us to get things done the hard way. Roma will fall in OT. They are not that fantastic and really do not deserve to progress at least on today's performance. If roles were reversed I doubt again that outcomes would have been same. 2 goals was fantastic return for their profligacy. Like Benfica they will crumble . MK, Have your laugh now.I wonder why you are so excited.Your At least you can keep yourself occupied in your grief. Smart chic. Just like knitting to fight boredom. WAN UNITED *It sure ain't over |

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 11:55pm On Apr 04, 2007 |
hi manu4laif long time. . . nice one there. it certainly ain't over. like i keep telling people, the champions league is a whole different ball game. anything can happen. an away goal can make the whole difference. our situation is sure better than chelsea's, drawing 1-1 at home. valencia wouldn't be that easy at home. even a goaless draw would do it for them. saha is back for the return game so we'll have options in front. wes brown should play on the right and evra on the left. ferdinand and heinze in the centre. oshea replaces scholes. giggs and carrick support in the middle. if park is good to go, he plays on the right or fletcher plays. then ronaldo on the left with rooney or saha in front. twould be a good game at old trafford and i know we'll deliver cos we love doing things the hard way. PROUDLY UNITED |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by debosky(m): 12:01am On Apr 05, 2007 |
jk nice to have you back, at least we'll get more game analysis and less sentiments like we've had in your absence I wouldn't be too hasty in saying whether Chelsea's tie is easier or not, remember Lyon drew 0-0 at Roma before losing at home 2-0 to go out. This Roma outfit is not flashy - they are a compact unit and they get the job done, I would be very wary of them, even at OT. The same way you're saying you need to win 1-0 is the same way they will be planning to pan out a draw. the loss of vidic is crucial in the next tie, if Roma can nick a goal in at OT, then you will be in serious hot water. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by rikkyjen(m): 12:02am On Apr 05, 2007 |
justkunmi: JK, you sure you watched the match Live?. Shoot! Roma ran us ragged imostly in the second half, they kept on having waves and waves of attcks. Even Roma's coach had good words for Sir Alex for having the Liver to throw on 3 guys upfront and left the Midfield almost void after the exipulsion of scholes from the game. No doubt, Roma are in the trouble, after their exit at old trafford, they would curse their luck for fluffing their chances at the stade de olympico or wateva. Their coach has admitted that the game is not yet won, Old trafford would be the decider, no doubt. Did they deserve the win, most definitely, Did they Run rings round us, definitely. Are we sailing thru ,? even the most fickle minded Assnal fan know we are |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by manu4laif: 12:11am On Apr 05, 2007 |
well put, bro. it's a game of 2 legs and we've done what we need do. An away goal is the most precious thing in Europe. . ask Ass,ask Real,.It's priceless and we've got it. My problem is that we may be under some pressure for the Portsmouth game.Scholsey MUST play his life there to compensate. Pity they scored the second. They are not that good . At least not at scoring. That probably explains why they are 20points behind Inter. But with Scholes out we were always going to have a problem. Meanwhile, those Bayern guys know exactly what to do and when. They scare me.Phew.Milan is in trouble. If we go through Milan may be a better proposition or what do you think? |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 12:16am On Apr 05, 2007 |
rikkyjen yes, i had reservations bout some of fergie's decisions but just wanted to look at the high points of the game. when scholes saw red, the next thing to do was too bring out solksjaer and bring in some one to play in the middle, maybe fletcher. i mean, wat do u need 2 strikers for when u are away, a man and a goal down?? but like i always say, fergie kinda knows wat he's doin cos solksjare ended up giving rooney the almighty cross. like i said before, i expected more from roma, they didn't play like the roma i know or the one i saw play lyon. their goals too were not clinical, just defensive errors from united. wes brown's deflection and our defence not clearing van dar ser's save. the game could've gone either way. we were just unlucky, especially when u have the referee on the other side. (not making excuses though). . . the game at OT would sure be the decider. . |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by debosky(m): 12:22am On Apr 05, 2007 |
Milan can still create moments of magic, bayern were fantastic on the night, but I still back Milan to go through the away goal is important. but they are still a potent threat, Italian clubs have never been high scorers, but they tend to get the job done. overturning this defeat will require a lot out of man utd, vidic and scholes are out, these players are crucial to your form, and any slip up at the back allowing Roma to score will be catastrophic I would focus more on this game and forget about Milan and Bayern for now. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by manu4laif: 12:24am On Apr 05, 2007 |
@rikky, Of what use are those rings if you can't score. I think Scholsey's exit somehow changed the game.No excuses but you will expect a team with 11 against 10 to create those chances. However our defence(which includes the keeper did very well). There is a difference between wave and wave of attack of MU/Blackburn or MU/Benfica and today's Roma. I disagree with you on running us ragged. I think piling pressure is more apt.We never looked out of sorts and they could not have been said to be unlucky not to score. That part of their football almost does not exist. We still tried to get a result and that was commendable. If Roma had been a man short at OT would the score have been 2-1. Am not a seer like Mk but I don't think so. Roma will fall like a pack of cards. But first Portsmouth. WAN UNITED |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 12:31am On Apr 05, 2007 |
thanks manu4aif if totti had been out of the game for that long as scholes, would it have been 2-1? no excuses though, just lookin at things. it would surely be a heard fight at OT esp with vida and scholesy out. but fergie said we have the depth to take care of their absences. i agree to that for scholes but no too sure for vida. brown looked very shaky. but i think evra should be back then so we'll have more options at the back. united can still go thru, even the roma coach, after winning 2-1 said the tie is still 50/50. anyone can still go thru. we only need to score a goal. . . . |
