Costee:

Such mods are needless; might as well get yourself an M/T. And talking about M/T, that power train is certainly moribund. Even the conventional A/T is itself ultimately going to be taken over by CVT. The G35 is, ipso facto, a power driver, A/T or M/T.
not moribund to me, I think I'll just go for a factory MT as the manuals have Limited Slip Differential that the AT don't come with, I'm a manual freak, plus the feel of pushing a manual in a 290hp sport car is heavenly

if it's a decision to buy, I will suggest a very recent model 2012-18 with very low mileage and no accident.

Hello people.

My lexus rx350 had overheating issue and my gasket was replaced. The car started showing error code p0017 and p0353.

Note that no error code was showing prior to the gasket change.

Please help with a solution.

Uncle segun!!!

Let's look at the code again. P0125

. means that the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor indicates that the engine has not reached the required temperature level to enter closed-loop operation within a specified amount of time after starting the engine

Meaning your thermostat is defective or missing, you now went to cool the engine more?

Pls do the following.

1. Replace radiator.
2. Return the Thermostat back.
3. return the Fan connections back.

P0353 ignition coil on Cylinder 3 circuit malfunction. after sever overheating sparkplug (ignition coils) coils usually expand and get damaged, I will recommend you replace all you coils (6 of them) with brand new units.

P0017, your timing marks are not set properly. Timing should be re-set again.

Hi Gazzus, I need your assistance please. I want to purchase a vehicle that will primarily be used by my wife. Usage mostly Home to Work, Home to Church, Home to Visit friends. This is our first and only car please take note.
From your experience, which do you recommend considering Spare Part Availability and Ease of Maintenance; GS 350, ES 350, IS 350 all 2008-2010 models.

Also, what are the checks you recommend I perform on whatever vehicle I choose, bear in mind this vehicle is from the US. How much will you charge for this.
Thank you for a swift response.

Banks use them as their pool cars and marketing vehicles, always never in good shape. Ensure you get to drive it and Inspect properly .

Gazzuzz is very correct. The drivers are the culprit here. Trying to cut corners to make secret profit.

Good morning, everyone. I have a family friend that wants to buy a second hand Toyota Siena 2006 Model Limited Edition XLE, the seller said that the car doesn't have a gearbox but that it is replaceable. I want to know if other problems would arise by virtue of this issue and if it is good idea to buy this car. Thanks.

it means every other thing cannot be tested. It is a delicate buy.

For the sienna, one of the major culprits of transmission damage is the engine/transmission Ecu.

Good Morning ,

My Toyota Camry 2007 was involved in a little accident and after that the airbag lights came up and refused to go OFF even though it never deployed. The passenger side seat belt light keeps on blinking even with seat belt in position.

Please how do I go about resolving this.

Thanks

Check wiring from engine ecu to transmission harness. These codes point to faulty solenoids, but I feel you have a wiring issue.

Good day sir.
Pls what average scan tool would you recommend for a 2005 Honda Accord,5speed manual tranny...pics and/or contacts will really help if any..

Also,do you have any professional mech's contact in abuja(maybe Kubwa) to help check my instrument cluster, everything works except fuel guage and speedometer, they don't move at all...I also need to re-install my thermostat as I discovered it was bypassed because:
1)my temp guage never gets to the middle area.
2)the fan starts immediately ignition is on.
Thanks,awaiting your reply.

Great thread! So many helpful tips. I took on board lots of them. In order to make my trips more comfortable, I installed the best truck toolbox in my pickup truck and filled it with tools I need. I manage space of the truck more effective now.
