You felt the need to disagree in order to neutralize donbrowser's praise above, which I certainly dont deserve. I never said that Korra only used airbending during the 2nd fight. I said that Kuvira doesnt have any answer to it, and that Korra's decision to use it made most (not all) of the difference. I made this observation months ago after rewatching the finale video many times, and not just a set of GIFs. I would concede that there was an unexplained improvement in Korra's metalbending as well, but Kuvira was still better than her in that area.

Korra is probably the greatest avatar there is with everything she accomplished the highest being conquering the giant spirity Unavatu.

But in a clash like this between GAANG and KREW . . . Here is my bet on it.


(1)Aang Vs Korra.

Aang had a very gentle nature and his ability to restrain himself is almost out of the world.

Korra out matches Aang in physical strength and rage but Aang is a talented bender not to talk his gentleness in fights will give him an upper hand over the ATTACK ATTACK AND DESTROY KORRA who will end up punching herself out..

Restraint is a far greater strength than power and rage. .

Aang takes it.


(2)Zuko Vs Mako

Mako is an incredible fire bender and puny Casanova with a ridiculous eye brow but Zuko?

Zuko first learnt from Iroh, the Dragon of the west and then Learnt from the dragons themselves afterwards. Out matched the incredible Azula. Thats some guy.

Zuko is beating the shiit out of Mako ..

Zuko takes it.


(3) Toph Vs Bolin
Do i really need to say it?

Goofy Bolin against the best earthbender in the Avatarverse... You might be thinking Bolin can lava bend but dont forget who we are dealing with here, the blind bleeping Bandit

And remember the swamp episode where korra met Toph she clearly was cooking with lava but even without lava bending Bolin stands no Chance against toph.

Though the kid Bolin got talent and power, he could easily beat Mako and am sure if Kuvira faced him she would be drowned in a pool of Lava in minutes, he clearly was the greatest earth bender among the young generation... not even Kuvira or Su or lin can match up to Bolin.

But the Legend is the Legend, Toph takes it..


(4)Sokka Vs Asami

This pair is funny because Sokka is going down mehnnn like Gerara here

Asami has been immersed in training all her life and we all have seen that girl she is pretty good and pretty pretty too

Sokka surely would be taking it as one of his talk shows where he rains down his sassy jokes only to get smoked by an Equalist glove ..

Asami takes it.

(Katara obviously has no pair in the list but if she comes up as a substitute for Sokka, Asami is fvcked for real )


(5)Appa Vs Naga
Do we really need to do this? I mean Appa is a 10ton flying Bison.

It outmatches Naga both in size and strength and don't forget those horns, bull power and it can actually fly like feather it can also air bend almost as well as Aang himself.

Naga really stands no chance against this beast.

Appa takes it.


(6)Momo vs Pabu

Momo has seen some real combats during his adventures with the GAANG, i mean we have seen that lemur attack fire nation soldiers or at least play assist on fights and not to forget Momo can fly to.

Pabu can chew and run real quick but in a face to face confrontation, the Lemur obviously has the upper hand.

Momo takes it ..


So with this it is 5-1 ...Gaang team is the team

To compare, we'd need to see both teams in their prime. We saw GAANG when they were 12-14/15 with an Avatar, who was a fully realised Airbender (with an amazing spiritual connection to boot) with a couple of kids, who had to do and learn some rather amazing things in a rather short time. I always feel sorry for Suki, everyone forgets her.

Now, with KREW, we got an Avatar, who was already bending 3 out of the 4 elements, at a very young age. She was physically gifted, but spiritually inept. Unlike Aang, whose strategy was to avoid/evade/dodge, Korra's strategy was to attack head on. Plus KREW were made up of older teenagers and we saw them as young adults in the last season.

Like I said, we'd need to see them at peak condition before we can judge.

The fact that bolin has lava bending is not enough to beat toph founder of mental bending, this is someone who trained with the original earthbenders. He no reach where she dey. He is careless and not as well coordinated like toph

Most of the members of Gaang were epic benders. Sokka, despite being my favourite, is the least useful, and is the only member of the team that would lose to his counterpart in Krew.

All these are just opinions and that's all since there was no stand-off between Sokka and Asami. Here's my own opinion, Sokka is gonna kick the sh*t outta Asami why? Because he's a talented guy. He mastered sword fighting and knows how to handle his boomerang which is a deadly comb with his sword swings. Let's also know that Asami was older than Sokka when she joined team avatar. He's also good at dodging his enemy's attack and knows when to run from a fight but Asami is all karate and electric glove that's all.
