[b]Gbagi was ready to pull the trigger. Deinde would soon breathe his last, Gbagi thought.

Gbagi began to move close to Deinde. Deinde saw a shadow approaching from. He knew at once that somebody was after him.

Deinde held his breathe and waited. The shadow was close to him now and with no shadow of doubt he knew he was in for trouble.

Deinde remained in sangfroid as he kept gazing at the shadow beside him. He saw a hand coming down on his head, a gun was in the hand.

Deinde's gun was at hand already. Deinde turned around suddenly and pointed his gun at Gbagi too.

"I get you!" Gbagi said. "You can't escape! Drop your gun!"

"Drop yours," Deinde replied. "And who are you?"

"A police," Gbagi replied.

Deinde grinned.

"Your identity card," he asked.

Gbagi laughed.

"What for? You this criminal! Do you think you can kill Mr. Smith and go scotfree?"

"Are you fighting for him? They paid me for his life and I did my job," Deinde said. "Whose side are you? Are you with Momoh or with Mr Smith?"

"I told you I am a police officer. You are under arrest!" Gbagi spoke confidently and held the trigger.

Deinde and Gbagi circled each other like two gay male chicken trying to mount on one another. They were searching out for each other's vulnerable point.

"Drop your gun Deinde and let's make it physical if you're sure of yourself. I will drop mine too," Gbagi said with confidence, but Deinde laughed and said, "Do you think I'm a fool? It's only in American films such things happen, not in the real life--ha, ha, ha..." he laughed.

They observed each other for about five minutes, then Gbagi said, "Don't waste my time Deinde. You are under arrest!"

Deinde began to hear the sound of police vehicle approaching. He trembled. Maybe he should just drop his gun now since their wasn't a way of escape.

Deinde was about to say 'I surrender' when he saw the dazed face of his antagonist.

"Deinde, run for your life," Gbagi said in trepidation.

The police vans were close already.

"Don't move!" they shouted, but the two criminals had fled different directions.

Actually, Gbagi was the one they came after, having traced him there when someone reported to have seen him.

"Get them!" a policeman commanded. "That's Deinde with him!"

The chase was hot on them. Gbagi was an escapee from prison few months back while Deinde was a fresh case.

Jegede, the self-conceited officer in the Alagbon prison went after Deinde.

Gbagi was too fast for them. He had jumped many fences within few minutes which none of the policemen would dare in an hour. They fired some shots at him, but none of those bullets seemed to hit their targets; perhaps he was immuned from bullet injuries. He had escaped in a whim.

Deinde was cutting across corners, but three policemen didn't stop chasing. He was sweating profusely now.

Morning meal

[b]Yemi's wife began to leave the house surreptitiously the next day, in the morning. Yomi hadn't woken up from sleep. Bimbo had already left for school.

When she shut the door of the living room behind her, Yomi thumped up from bed. It was 8:30 am.

Yomi stood up and walked straight to the parlour, but no one was there.

"Mama Bimbo! Mama Bimbo!" he began to call her name.

Yomi had been casting his eyes at Omoyemi, unknown to her. If only he could get her to sleep with him.

"*Bimbo gan o bad ju. Omo yen ti balaga now," he said in Yoruba.

Yomi knew Omoyemi's intention. She must have headed for the prison to see her husband.

Yomi must prevent her, else she would go and ask Yemi for the name Momoh she saw on his phone the day before and Yemi would tell her everything he knew about Momoh.

Yomi held his phone and dialled Momoh's phone. He picked it up.

"Oga Momoh, Yemi's wife has left the home just now. I perceive she's going to see her husband."

"No way!" Momoh screamed. "We will block her!"

Omoyemi alighted a danfo and began to trek towards the prison. A bus overtook her and began to make a u-turn towards her. She hurried towards the side of the gutter to avoid the vehicle, but before she could realise it, two men had gripped her. They forced her into the bus and drove her off.

"We have cleaned her up," Momoh called inside the bus. "She's inside the van with us now."

"Good," Yomi was glad. "Don't let her come home until 5pm."

"Why, Yomi?" Momoh said and then kept silent. He turned around and saw Omoyemi staring quietly at him. He had just implicated Yomi by mentioning his name, therefore confirming the whole mystery.

It pained Omoyemi so much to know that Yomi had betrayed them. A drop of tears ran down her left cheek. She scratched her cheek and made a grotesque. She needed air to breathe, else she would collapse for shock and inadequate air.

"You have heard it already, woman and there is nothing anybody can do. Yomi is one of us!' Momoh yelled the truth to her face. Her jowls fell.

Yomi tramped the floor in anger mingled with frustration.

"Momoh has let the cat out of the bag," he lamented, scratching his head. "Oh my God!"

Yomi wasn't still going to reconsider his next step; he had already given the thought of rap*ng Bimbo a deep consideration. No going back now. Such was exactly why he was demanding that Yomi's wife should be kept away till 5pm so that he would have committed the deed with Bimbo already before she returned.

Bimbo should be back by 3pm. Yomi wondered what was keeping her back now. He was eager to do the deed with her, not minding her fragile nature, both bodily and at heart.

Yomi had gotten up to gaze outside at several occasion. He began to smile when he began to see pupils in Bimbo's type of uniform walking to their various homes.

"She will soon be here," Yomi smiled.[/b]

Someone is in dire need of two bullets in the skull...

I fear for omoyemi.. She might not live to tell the story!!

I hate yomi, the guy na devil in disguise....
