My Candidature Will Bring Victory For Abia PDP – Dr Uche Ogah by engrezebuiro: 8:52am On Jul 04, 2014
Billionaire business mogul and oil magnate, Dr
Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah (USO), on Tuesday,
June 17, 2014, ended the speculations about his
governorship ambition. On that bright, sunny
afternoon, the lanky chattered accountant and
President of Masters Energy took a bold step by
visiting the Abia State Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) secretariat on Finbarrs’ Road, Umuahia.
There, he informed members of the party
executive committee (EXCO) of his intention to
contest for the governorship position of the state
come 2015.
He was accompanied on the visit by notable Abia
political figures, including Chief Empire Kanu, a
former Nigerian Ambassador to Argentina, Chief
Emeka Atuma, a former member of House of
Representatives, Dr Maxwell Ndukwe Adindu, a
former Minority Leader of Abia State House of
Assembly and a former member of the state
executive council, amongst others. Also present
were teeming members of five Pro-Uche Ogah
groups.
As the crowd settled down, a man simply
introduced as Okosisi (Iroko tree) Obingwa, was
invited to address the audience. Ironically,
Obingwa, hypothetically, parades the highest
number of potential governorship hopefuls. Since
the state governor, Chief Theodore Orji, hinted
that it would be just to allow Abia South senatorial
zone (Ukwa/Ngwa political bloc) to produce the
next governor of the state, 98 per cent of those
being speculated to be interested in grabbing the
exalted seat come from Obingwa.
But Okosisi dismissed them, saying that Ogah,
who comes from Uturu in Isuikwuato local
government area -which is in Abia North Senatorilal
zone, was a better material than all the gladiators
from his home council. He said most of them have
held public and elective offices which they failed to
use to improve the welfare of their people, adding
that they would not do better if trusted with the
task of governing the state.
He posited that Ogah, a philanthropist of immense
proportions and dimensions, would take Abia to
greater heights. He said Abia PDP was lucky to
have Ogah in its fold, stressing that had he
declared his interest to vie for the exalted
governorship seat on the platform of another
party, PDP would have found him a hard nut to
crack. “Give power to Uche Ogah and it will be
well with Abia, it will be well with us,” he
submitted.
Next, Ambassador Empire Kanu, introduced as
leader of the Uche Ogah delegation, was invited to
address the gathering.
“We are here,” he said, “because of Dr
Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah. We have come to let
you know of his aspiration to contest for
governorship in 2015 in Abia state.”
Kanu continued “His name is divine because he
has not been entirely chosen by chance but by
epistemological origin. Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah has
a divine calling to take over the mantle of
leadership from our extra-ordinary performing
governor of our state, Dr. T.A.Orji.”
Inviting his principal to personally state their
mission himself, Kanu said “I will want to at this
point to invite our principal to speak for himself
and by himself. I have the singular honour to call
on the President of Masters Energy Group, with 13
subsidiary companies, a chartered accountant, an
acclaimed banker, an astute business mogul in the
class of Dangote, a philanthropist of the highest
order, a Christian, an Officer of the Order of the
Niger (OON), the sensational young man from
Uturu in Isuikwuato LGA, Dr. Uchechukwu
Sampson Ogah, to speak to you.”
Amidst a thunderous ovation, Ogah took it from
there, thrilling the crowd with his sonorous voice,
eloquence and thoughtful logic.
“I am most delighted, most humbled to be here
today,” he began. “Today is part of what we do;
we have been going around consulting. On the day
of our declaration, we will let you know. This is
just part of our routine consultation. And for the
fact that we are here, we have come to consult
with the members of the exco of PDP in Abia
state. And I want to say, thank you for the
opportunity you have given to us. Thank you for
receiving us. We are sorry for inconveniencing you
with a large crowd of people that are here but we
appreciate you because in your normal self as a
father, you will accommodate everybody. So, we
want to thank you so much and God bless you.”

I wish his is the right one to change the face of abia, because the present administration is full of tauts and thieves. His tenure made no remarkable change to better the lives of abians except the reloacation of the market, mechanic village and government house. Apart frm that he has done nothing so far

Uche Ogar used to be a Missionary in Scripture Union back in the days.
I hope this ambition will not jeopardize his faith.

If you know Ogah or even care to ask, you would know he is an upright man, a philanthropist and an entrepreneur per excellence.
He has created and employed over 6000 people in very good jobs.

He would return Aba to its old economic glory and give young people a sense of pride by creating employment.

He is presently building an energy city in Abia-- comprising several plants and factories.
He built (yrs ago) a 500 seat auditorium at the Abia university.
His entire LGA(same as Gen Ihejirika) worship him because he outperforms the local govt, in terms of infrastructure provision/maintainance, security( equipped all police posts with a vehicle each since 2011 and vigilante groups) etc
He has heavily invested his money in Abia hence, cannot but increase the value by being a great governor.

Besides, he is "born again". And young. ( early forties)

Abia has no better material.

the problem this ogah might have is that he is from isiukwuato thus this issue of ukwa ngwa turn might affect him....but he is the type of igbo rich business man i like that is investing in his heavily in his home town and does not seem to make much noise about it and he is also educated too unlike uzor kalu then.

running away from Niger Delta region because of
security challenges. That single investment, a

of Abia State because of the high number of
businesspersons it would attract from across the
African continent.

Asides all these, Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah stands
like a colossus in the area of philanthropy. He
has single-handedly provided electricity for
villages, changed the landscape of a whole
village by building prototypal houses and offered
free medical services for citizens of the
community. In addition to this, he built and
equipped the modern hospitals in his native
Uturu community in Isikwuato Local Government
of Abia State and has offered scholarships to
both primary and secondary students in the
same community since 2006. Uche has also
partnered Hopeville Rehabilitation Centre, Uturu
for fabrication of Prosthetesis (Artifical limbs) or
Orthosis (Calipers) for so many disabled
persons. These are in addition to sponsoring
many people to India for various medical issues.
The humanitarian and philanthropic disposition
of Uche was taken to a higher level when he
established a foundation in December 2011, the
Uche Ogah Foundation which is primarily for
empowerment, poverty alleviation and providing
education and has empowered many in their
various fields. He also instituted a chair at the

This ibo people sef.. tomorrow u will shout marginalisation in Nigeria and how they do not want u to be president. Abia has about 18 LGA and Ukwa/Ngwa zone has 10 and are the Majority yet u feel it is fair not to allow them become a governor ever since Abia was created? Believe me, no matter what u do, one day they will produce the governor n dnt cry blue murder if they hold the state forever because they v the resources, majority, cities, money and political will. No matter how good, what is fair is fair. Tell ur role model to go for senate and return as governor after then.

The greatest mistake of all time was to include Ukwa-Ngwa in Abia State.

The glorious zone has been suffocated, destroyed and taken 40 years back by parasitization.from their Northern brethren.
There is no legacy project ever built in Ukwa-Ngwa since the creation of Abia State, not even one.

Curse be the day Abia State was created.

Never again shall the peoples vote be uncounted.

not sure what you mean by 'you guys' in the first place as i am not from abia...secondly aba is flatland so if drainages are not built or blocked flooding would occur so i do not get your topography relationship in that sense of being best(enugu is best in that sense).

No, Aba is the best, Aba is not in any way a flat land. God has blessed that city with a wonderful topography. There are rivers that crisscross the city, a wonderful hill where water naturally channel through. The sewage systems mbakwe built are all blocked with dirts n d governor is doing nothing.
