U're a "little" right about the team but u're wrong about the 2002 team(their best team ever thanks to Ronaldo)

But football is evolving.

The 2002 team would struggle in this generation cos There are more stars in every country and countries that don't really have stars play as a team.
true that.more stars and improved tactical and physical training.but that 2002 team was highly talented though.this 2014 team lacked that,so many times they got to the opposition penalty box and just seemed clueless, misplaced passes and shots.

Overrated bunch of players.
Coutinho is far better than Paulinho while Oscar is no match for Lucas Moura.
I'll pick Liverpool's Lucas Leivia over Gustavo any day, Scolari bleeped up with his selection, Miranda would have offer more to the defence than the error prone David Luiz.

Re: Is This The Worst Brazilian Side Ever? by Nobody: 12:41am On Jul 13, 2014
On paper, it's far being the worst.

However, based on performances and results, in the last two games - and the amount of goals they conceded, it might be.

You've to blame Scolari for his tactics and team selection.

That said, this team still has a lot of young players for the future, that they can adapt to a new style, and system. Including a few players who missed the world cup finals squad. Before the bottom-up transformation that Brazilian football will witness would start bearing fruits.

Personally, I think it's like a blessing in disguise for Brazilian football, and time for them to get back to the basics. German football also went through the same thing, after the Mathiaus/Klinsman/voller era.

Brazil should be back with the joga bonito football this generation missed. I can't wait for what the next 10 years is going to look like.

Viva Brazil!

They once gave us Romario, Ronaldo,
Bebeto, Rivaldo, R carlos, Ronaldinho
But since 2006, they started producing
classless players like
Ramirez, Pato, Filipe melo, Rafael, Fred,
Jo, David luiz, Hulk

That won't stop anything if there's a system and style in place. Ever wondered why certain Brazilian players, who were top scorers in Europe never used to make the Brazilian team? Mario Jardel? Elber?

C'mon a lot of German players play with flair, that's lacking in this generation of Brazilian players, and they're Europeans. It's about the system and style you want, not where the player plays.

They tried their best atleast we have Brazilian teams that don't get to smell the semifinals.

So I don't agree with u that they are the worst.
Its not about getting to the semi final, its the overrall assessment of the team we are looking at comparing to past Brazillian squad

I can't remember the last time a Brazilian squad lost two matches in a row, not to talk of conceeding ten goals in a wc tourney

Jogo bonito that couldn't win 1982 wc for them

Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, R carlos, Rivaldo were in europe in 2002 and they won the wc

It doesn't matter where you play, if its not in you, you can't give it!

Let me just throw this in there.

Most people forget about the dark ages of German football, when the only player they had who could go past anyone was Mehmet Scholl. That was before this generation. I remember England smacking Germany 5-1 in Munich back then. grin Now, see how Germany is now the darling of everyone.

That's basically what Brazilian football is going through. And in all honesty, I won't call this team the worst ever. They're an average team who played under immense pressure to deliver. This team played alright at last year's confed's cup.

At least they were the most interesting team at that tournament. That team had a lot of great players and played with flair the Brazilian way.

Sometimes, it isn't about winning, it's about protecting a tradition.

So many factors led to their dismal finish to their World Cup journey

1. Taking too much for granted

2. Underestimating their opponents

2. Over-estimating their abilities

4. Just plain bad luck

5. And so much more....
