Youth in Taraba State
called on leaders from the
north to desist from allegedly
frustrating President Goodluck
Jonathan's tactics against
terror as well as his presidential ambitions for
2015. They thus called on the
Northern Elders Forum to
desist from allegedly
threatening the President but
"throw their weight behind
him" and support his initiatives and ambitions. The youth, represented by
their coordinator, Prince Aboki
Bayonga Stephen, called on
Jonathan not to be deterred
from re-contesting for the
presidency next year. "We have collectively endorsed
President Godluck Ebele
Jonathan to re-contest Faye
2015 presidential election,"
said Stephen. It is reported NEF called on
President Goodluck to address
the present security challenges
and rescue the abducted
Chibok girls or "forget re-
contest next year's presidential election." The youths observed that the
issue of insurgents was not
only in Nigeria, but the world
at large. They reiterated their readiness
to mobilize youths from the
"nooks and crannies of the
country" in support of the
presidential ambition of the
President Jonathan in 2015.http://m.news24.com/nigeria/Politics/News/Taraba-youth-back-Jonathan-for-re-election-20140814
