has disqualified the acting governor of Adamawa
State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
Saharareporters could not confirm the official
reasons given for Fintiri’s disqualification but a
PDP source said it was because he decamped
from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress
(APC) party and hence did not qualify to be re-
admitted into the party until certain conditions
are met.
The screening committee, however, gave the
green light to former chairman of the Economic
and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Mallam
Nuhu Ribadu as well as others to run in the
primaries.

He was supposed to seek for waiver but he didn't. According to PDP law, a member seeking elective office must have stayed in the party for at least 2years to be qualified except he's granted waiver by the appropriate organs of the party.

I believe he has always been a pdp member, he became speaker under the pdp.

The law is meant to checkocte the unfavoured. This is a game of the favoured and not the qualified. Rica night not be the right option either.
