soulglo: Her point is that: she's a decent woman and no matter what, a lady should never provoke attack and cry victimhood afterwards. She knew how big the guy is, but decided to viciously attack him multiple times. That's an unacceptable behaviour. Women need to start being respectful. Respect is reciprocal. |

soulglo: How about if that wasn't the first time of attacking him, and he's basically just tired of walking away - and all he wanted to do was get in the elevator to get to wherever he's off to; tell her to calm down; and move on to the next thing? I definitely didn't see a "manic beast" in that video. A manic beast would've beaten her to stupor for being utterly disrespectful by hitting him multiple times in public. All he did was defend himself with a left hook (he didn't even hit her that hard) - and showed remorse after that. Cowardly and totally uncalled for, but he's also human. And imperfection, with the ability to make mistakes based on poor judgement and emotions, is what makes us human. |

shymexx: Where's the vicious attack? Are we watching the same video? Please watch the video and pull out the facts. Don't add the extras. She walked passed him and her arm went out. It's not clear that it was a punch. She got in the elevator and he followed. The door shut and she reopened it. He did not walk out. The door shut again. They seem to be verbally fighting at this point. The walks towards him and shoves him and then the punch landed. I mean this has to be the most unbelievable thing I ever saw. The men in Nigeria who publicly beat their wives are even better than this fool. They are just average strength people. This man has almost daily strength training. He is trained to take down people if necessary. I hope that punch was worth the $35,000,000 dollars he spent on it because life for him as he knows it is over. 2 Likes |

shymexx:he apologized after dragging her out of the elevator without any attempts to wake her up or see if she is okay. Listen if he had hit her and acted like someone who realized that that what he did was wrong, maybe he it could have ended at just suspending him. But he didn't. So u think the owner of his team is the one who wants to suffer loses over a mere player who lacks self-control. At the end of the day its simply business for the Ravens. U bring in unnecessary liabilities u get booted out! You cannot decide to take the law into your hands and commit a crime, then expect the same law to protect you. 2 Likes |

soulglo: I never knew you were a feminism apologist - I guess henceforth I'll have to start looking at you differently because I abhor feminists and their tendencies to always ignore facts, twist events, and play the blame game - while chasing a pipe dream. I prefer realists, and traditional women, who have objective outlook to everything. I deduced the following from this post: 1). You denied/feigned-ignorance about what's glaring in the video about how she viciously attacked in public, with at least one person walking by. In which he never retaliated. 2). You expected him to walk out of the elevator when he was the one who actually waited for her to walk past him (ladies first), so they could get in together. 3). You denied the fact that she viciously attacked him in the elevator and called it a mere shove, when she also lunged towards him, trying to attack him again, till the left hook knocked her out. 4). You'd be happy if he became dead broke and lose his career over an obvious mistake induced by an emotional reflex action - utterly ridiculous. Imperfection is what makes us human, and he deserves a second chance. See the difference between him and those naija men who abuse their wives in public is that: he never attacked her first, and when they were in public view, he never retaliated - unlike those who make a career out of beating women to stupor. Moreover, they were coming back from the casino. And apart from being intoxicated, who knows how much he lost in there, and how that contributed to whatever happened? I believe as his fiancee, she should know better than to provoke a reaction from her man, especially when emotions are running high. Perhaps, she should have just left him alone, in his own space. Also, this is his first offence. Evidently, it might be a one-off situation. Regardless, I'm appalled and highly disappointed in everything you posited on this thread. I expected something better from you. I guess you can't always judge a book by its cover. I'm out! 4 Likes |

shymexx: The feeling is mutual. You are a domestic violence apologist. How else could you refer to what he did as reflex. You mentioned that in more than one post. You're a smart guy so you know the definition of reflex. To use it in describing what this maniac did makes you a domestic violence apologist. If she shoved him and he shoved her back no one would be talking. 8 Likes |

Well we all have made mistakes in this life, that have changed our lives. He made one that messed up his career. He was never denied the right to make the right decision. Babymama1: But she wouldnt lose anything? Max she would quickly divorce him and grab half of his current wealth before he's broke and marry the next guy out there As a man I wont even think of attacking Ray Rice in my most irate moment, thats common sense, but because of your sex, you feel you can attack anyone without any repercussion except making funny memes of the man If the man dares as much as retaliate, He gets the rough hand of the law. As parents you know your daughters are free to use their hands freely on men when they are angry. Its a shame 1 Like |

Babymama1:that was not in any way self-defence. Self-defence is when you apply force in order to prevent an immediately threatening or on-going attack in order to stop it or prevent it WITHIN REASONABLE LIMITS. If you slap me and i decided to throw acid on your face i can never ever use my action as a defence, it will simply be assault with intent to do griveous bodily harm that's it. But if i simply slap u back or i block u from any other possible attack by holding your hand tights behind your back that will be defence 2 Likes |

raumdeuter:since he is not holding a weapon simply hit (not shoot) the same hand thats about to attack me with the metal, but is there is reason to believe that i might miss him and he might take the gun from me i would aim for his foot. Depending on which ever action that could have blocked him from advancing towards me. |
Re: NFL Player Knocks Out His Fiancee - What Do You Think?(Viewers' Discretion) by Nobody: 3:03am On Sep 09, 2014 |
Babymama1:yeah i know prefectly well that you are in the US but if u shoot the person dead while he is holding a stick, u can still get charged with murder but if u shoot the person with an intent to only stop the on-going attack without killing the person u can use that as self-defence. The question is was there any other way a reasonable person in your shoes could have stopped the attack without killing or causing serious injury, if there was, then u can be found guilty. If the action u took was the only reasonable solution, then it can be called self-defence 2 Likes |

Not in the USA All your lawyer needs is proof that there was a weapon on the assailant and that the client feared for their life A tree branch can kill A 250 pound man coming at a 120 pound lady with his fist, the size difference and fear if danger makes his fist a weapon There is no one rule fits all 1 Like |

Babymama1:but which is is likely to cause death instantly when used, a gun or a branch? Thank u for mentioning that u cant use one rule to fit all situations. U cant simply use any form of action to defend yourself simply because you are attacked, the extent and necessity of your action will be taken into account to see if it can be called self-defence. 2 Likes |

Mondisweets: but which is is likely to cause death instantly when used, a gun or a branch? If she died he cannot be charged with murder Not even murder in the second degree Not even manslaughter The most will be aggravated assault and I don't see him getting convicted for that either She was clearly the agreesor and he didn't use anything beyond his fist just like she did I am not an attorney but this is a pretty straightforward case |

@Mondisweets the analogy of which one is likely to cause harm wont fly in court if you have a good lawyer. The only thing that matters is this part babymama wrote "FEARED FOR HIS LIFE" Trayvon was shot dead because he punched with his 18yr old fist a 28yr old man and the man FEARED FOR HIS LIFE The man is walking free now Worst case manslaughter as long as it was done instantly, Not that you went away and came back meaning you had time to think it over |
