I prefer realists, and traditional women, who have objective outlook to everything.

yeah i know prefectly well that you are in the US but if u shoot the person dead while he is holding a stick, u can still get charged with murder but if u shoot the person with an intent to only stop the on-going attack without killing the person u can use that as self-defence.

The question is was there any other way a reasonable person in your shoes could have stopped the attack without killing or causing serious injury, if there was, then u can be found guilty. If the action u took was the only reasonable solution, then it can be called self-defence
