His House Is a Mystery – My dear, any man that really wants you around would want you at his place for one thing or the other. Contrary to general thinking, men love company a whole lot and if it so happens that you have been with this man for months and you don’t know as much as the street of his house! Dearest Nne, thou art a SIDECHICK. My dearest Nne, if you don’t know/haven’t met any member of his family or friends or he has never introduced any close contact(s) of his to you, you are a double sidechick. No two ways about that.





You Are Not Connected Via Any Social Network - When I say social network, I mean social networks and not Instant Messengers. If your “man” is not connected to you on any social network and you know perfectly well that he is active on those platforms e.g Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google +, it’s either you are not good enough for him or he doesn’t want the real ‘MADAM’ to start becoming suspicious of his activities. Most probably, you only chat with him on BBM, Whatsapp or whatever IM media suitable for your ‘SIDELATIONSHIP’. If you fall into this category, you need to have a review of that relationship for you might just be a SIDECHICK.




He Is Always Busy – My dear, everyone claims to be busy but when one really likes/loves you, he would create time for you. Yes, there are men that are busy as bees due to the nature of their individual professions but if he is always busy when it comes to you, like 8 times out of 10, have a rethink. You might just be in a SIDELATIONSHIP.





No Random Meetings – If before every meeting with your man, it must always be planned or scheduled like some office meeting, there’s something fishy about that. He wouldn’t want a random meeting that would clash with when the real ‘MADAM’ would be around so everything has to be planned to perfection like a CIA covert operation. If this happens to you, SIDECHICK might just be the title for you my dear.




He’s Never Angry When You Cancel – You and him have planned to meet somewhere, someday and then, maybe before the D-day or on the D-day, you have something really important to attend to and you cancel. You inform him about the development and he doesn’t get angry! Not even the slightest of angers?! Whenever my MADAM cancels on me, I know how burnt I feel. Every man feels it. He might even feel relieved that you cancelled, after all, you are just a bloody sidechick. So it’s no big deal to him. Nne, I pity your condition if you fall into this category.





He Cancels A Lot – When your ‘man’ cancels a lot on you after fixing a meeting or a date without any tangible reason. It just so happens that the real ‘ MADAM’ needs his attention and it coincides with the date of your arranged meeting, who do you think he will pay heed to? The MADAM or the SIDECHICK?. My dear this is a sign sign sign sign sign sign (Echoes into oblivion).





You Don’t Go To Public Places – This is my personal favourite. Any man that is proud of you and proud of your relationship would love to show you off to his friends, family and anyone that cares, like a shoe he bought for Christmas. But it just so happens that this guy doesn’t go anywhere with you, it’s either you meet at your regular rendezvous or nothing. The truth is, he doesn’t want anyone to know about it! Either he isn’t gonna be with you for the long hol or the MADAM would find out through direct catching, one Madam’s friend or one tatafo around the corner(We all know them). If this happens to you…………… I say it with all the muscles in my mouth, YOU ARE A SIDECHICK!.
