1.university college teaching hospital-UNIBADAN premier university in Nigerian has one of the best equipped teaching hospitals

2.JUTH- UNIJOS, JUTH is rated as one of the best hospital in Nigeria in terms of services rendered and if you check out the permanent site of JUTH, it is among the finest in the country

3.LUTH-Lagos State University-LUTH might not really be among the best teaching hospitals but I bet you in terms of research it is on top.

4.Evangelin Hospital-Bingham University,popularly called ja kwanu, the hospital was rated 4th best hospital in Africa in 2009,but its structures are now old.

5.UCTH-UNICAL ,the hospital is a state of the art hospital with good carrying capacity

6.UNTH-University of Nigeria Enugu,I never knew about the hospital till I started following infos online about it and with little finding and how it is rated online I think it should be on the list.

7.IMSUTH-Imo State University, the IMO state University sure is one of the best state varsities in the country and also has one of the strongest teaching hospital to its credit.

8.LAUTECH- Ladoke Akintola University,only the landscape location of this university is unique and coupled with a state of the art teaching hospital I bet it is among the best in the country
9.UDUTH-Usman Danfodio University,some people might argue this but we need to always accept the fact UDUTH is one if the best hospitals in the north.

10.NAUTH-Nnamdi Azikiwe University, rankinghospital.com ranked Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital as sixth best in Nigeria with 6.32 points.

I think it was overrated though compared to LUTH,JUTH and UITH.

UniMaid Teaching Hospital (UTH, I guess) should be included. The place is nice.

Wat criteria r u adopting? Not even ABUTH,UNTH,6th,?

trained at UITH Ilorin, did my internship at UDUTH Sokoto and if anything , i can tell you that your list is largely skewed and represents one man's point of view instead of the reality. Sentiments apart, UITH ranks better than majority of. the teaching hospitals in terms of personnel, equipment and working environ, ranking in top 5 by both NUC and MDCN assessments

by the way, what criteria would you use to rate institutions with 75% partial accreditation and <50% full accreditation, with little or non sub-specialists above other institutions with better personnel? It's rili unfortunate that such misleading material like this has been rushed to FP, misleading lots of uninformed Nigerians who gnaw at whatever they are fed without verifying the adequacy of the info

UBTH is not on this list? Then this list is obviously flawed.

Op, for your information:
1. UBTH is the only hospital in Nigeria and West Africa that does bone marrow transplant.

2. UBTH is the only teaching hospital that does Invitro fertilization in Nigeria. If der is another one, then they probably started not more than a year ago. Other centres are National Hospital Abuja (which is not a teaching hospital) and a number of private hospitals.

3.UBTH is one of the best centres in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

4. UBTH is one of the few teaching hospitals that does radiotherapy.

5.UBTH will soon become the first hospital in W. Africa to start prenatal diagnosis.

And with all these, UBTH is not on your list.

Please mods and supermods, this post is causing a gross misinformation of the public. It undermines the reliability of Nairaland, therefore I move a motion that it should be removed.

UBTH is trash mister.My alma mater is Uniben so I'm not been biased.I lost three family members there already to trivial issues they make seem big.A senior doctor forgot most pieces of placenta inside my aunty's and she bled to death.My other aunt had an accident and the other stupid doctor didn't know when one's bleeding internally.My mum told him it was internal bleeding as she's a nurse but the man was so proud thinking he knows all and when she was at the point of death with blood coming out her nose and mouth that was when the psycho agreed and was fixing oxygen.What stupid doctor,I hate UBTH because that place is like a mortuary.No wonder government officials and the rich go abroad for treatment,it's because of doctors like the ones at UBTH so that TH should not even be in the top 20,DELSUTH is even better than it
