Yeah, its one crazy thing that provokes me in this country. I wish they know how much they lose on all these useless holidays. I know some lazy bones will be happy abt this.

Bro am not a supporter of any party, but i hate this kind of argument GEJ surpporters usually bring.

That Amechi declare a week for carnival, does it make it make it right for public holiday to be declared for a rally?

Going going, going!. Igbo's chance of smelling Aso Rock is finally going.Oh sorry, forgot An Ebele Azikiwe is still in the race.
Instead of the igbos perfecting a plan for 2015, they are busy queuing up behind a man/zone which only wants to use them for "selfish reason". Why not demand from the APC to give them the presidential ticket or forget about the zone in 2015.
Should Ebele return to Aso rock in 2015, the igbos should know that it would take another 28 years (4 yrs of GEJ, 8 yrs of the North, 8 yrs of the s/west & 8 yrs of the North again) before they can dream of Aso rock again.
My preference for 2015 is an igbo man on the platform of APC, or worse still GEJ till 2019. It's not yet time for the North again, not until they've quenched the evil fire in their zone and make the country governable for whoever is in power.

This is sad. Full-blown totalitarianism in display.
Btw my Enugu and in extension SE people, what's with this overwhelming GEJ obsession? Why e be say na SE carry this man matter for head pass? Nobody's asking questions anymore ... yet Enugu/PH expressway remains a mess; ditto Enugu/Onitsha. Wetin we don really gain from FG? Why are we not looking into the reasons why the joke called akanu ibiam intl airport was hap-hazardly done? Why are we comfy with settling for less? Where is the coal-powered power plant he promised us during the 2011 pdp rally at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium? Ditto the so called 2nd niger bridge -which sadly successive govts hv used to fool my people for votes over the years.
As an enugu man, I am impressed with chime and in fact will vote him in again if the constitution made any provision for such. But jonathan? ..big question mark* Quit the blind "GEJ till 2019" banters and channel these efforts towards tasking these leaders my people. If they know you'll vote them in irrespective of performance due to perceived "voter strongholds", empty promises and mediocrity will continue to be the order of the day

Why not name one previous federal government that has done for the SE more than GEJ has done. ..and is doing?
International airport
Accession of an Igbo man to Ihejirika's position
Enugu-PH road
etc...etc
.
Is GEJ the first to promise of second Niger bride?
At least he has physically laid the foundation. ..hopefully it will be completed in the second term.

Why must each governor be allowed to declare public holiday. And they are even abusing it. Next, local govt chairmen will start declaring public holidays for rallies. This is so sad
Re: 2015 Jonathan Rally: Enugu State Government Declares Thursday Work-free Day by komekn(m): 8:00pm On Sep 25, 2014
Does this then therefore create a precedence, a public holiday for every political parties presidential candidate that comes to Enugu state. And as usual all public servants will be coerced to attend their respective rallies.

Strangely I thought there was an existing ban on all political campaigning by INEC.

Confused, GEJ has not been voted PDP presidential and officially affirmed, or am I missing something in our fledgling democracy if we can even call it that.
Re: 2015 Jonathan Rally: Enugu State Government Declares Thursday Work-free Day by nzeBiddle(m): 8:02pm On Sep 25, 2014
Absolute gibberish! What have you gained from the fact that Ihejirika was COAS? What impact did that make in your life as a South Easterner? ...and I'm appalled that you foolishly wrote down Enugu-PH road as part of what GEJ did for the SE -same horrible road I plied the previous week. If I may ask, when last did you ply that road (that's if you've even plied the full the length before)? And 2nd niger bridge? Lol why you wan exonerate the guy? So because other govts failed us on the project, his slow-pace on executing it does not matter? He used it to campaign in 2011 and all of a sudden it is now that elections are approaching that work seems to have genuinely commenced/picked up pace there. Yet another project with a similar scale in the North Central -Oweto bridge has been progressing at a faster pace. Given his antecedents (since 2011 when he first campaigned with the 2nd niger bridge project) re: commitment to the project, what is the guarantee that it will finally be completed if he is given another chance? What do you people gain from propaganda? See if ona keep praising this man instead of tasking him on his failed promises he would not take the region seriously knowing fully well that otere nnu, otere azu ona go still vote am in.
If we give GEJ a pass mark (with reference to the SE) primarily based on the fact that previous governments have done little or nothing for the region as you have primarily highlighted in your reply then we'r doomed; what it means is that he'll keep doing "little" provided whatever he does surpases what previous govts did -since that seems to impress you and your ilk as your reply has largely portrayed.
Ndi otimkpu. Nodunu ebe anwa tibe "GEJ till 2019" ..Unu ajukwana ndi na achi unu ajuju gbasatara nkwa ha na ekwe/ ha kwere na oge gara aga. Keep on celebrating mediocrity.
