OP; All of Dangote's assets are insured, including the trucks. When accident occurs, the trucks MUST remain there until evaluation is completed for compensation purpose. And when compensation is paid, the truck no more belongs to Dangote but the insurance company. It is the responsibility of the insurance company to clean up the mess, but since insurance companies will rather not spend more money fixing the mess, they simply leave the trucks there. 5 Likes |

kayce911: It depends on what led to the abandonment. If its an accident which the driver is apprehensive of an impending danger,he will definitely forsake the job and leave the truck.if its a trivial matter,he may wait for the company to deal with the situation, probably with the authorities before he goes bk for it. |

That is because the drivers run away and never return to the company to make a formal report on the accidents. 1 Like |

It is the primary duty of the police and the highway agency to investigate and clear an accident scene in a normal world where there are drivable roads, traffic rules and regulations, not the vehicle owner or the accident victims. |

I have always thought of this! From the Research av carried out, I could simply say those trucks are all Insured! They all have Insurance. 1 Like |

Kesmakveli: Insurance thing! Truck, Driver and content fully insured! In fact, it's more profitable to get involved in an accident when you're sure you will be paid!!! Also has "no claims bonus protection": meaning despite being involved in an accident your record and premium will not be affected if you prepay some fees called no claim bonus protection 1 Like |
