Please is there any lawyer in the house or someone who has gone through divorce proceedings before?

A relative (lady) is seeking for divorce from hubby who initiated the divorce but stays outside the shores.

A lawyer is asking her to pay 300k and that's absolutely ridiculous. Marriage barely 1 week of cohabitation after 3.5 years of wedlock.

Please can anyone help with detailed legal framework, durations and other nitty gritty of legal cumbersome.

Bride price already scheduled for return but the knack is the "federal Government of Nigeria" marriage registry certificate.

Marriage cannot be salvaged. Built on faulty foundation and both partner unanimously agreed to part ways.
