Yes Fashola is capable but

2 Things
A former head of state can not be number 2 to former a Governor
1999 to 2007, A Yoruba man was the president. 8 years later, Another Yoruba man? this will work against him

Yes Buhari is not a push over but the agreement between CPC aka North and APC aka SW/SS is that the north gets presidency and the SW gets deputy..

So the deputy is in tinubu's hands and his choice.

Lets be watching as things unfold

A strategist would know from afar that once you receive out of the blue usolicitated free gifts and positive gestures from the enemy camp, you have hit a nerve.

Why then are the APC guys even trying to explain your choice of your number 1 candidate when you have worked out your winning formula and tested it from all sides?

It is unnerving to the opposition for a reason and they have now worked on a counter strategy to upset the equilibrium. They are just trying to poke holes in your strategy to see if it is water tight or they could still over throw the consensus and create havoc.

Why all of a sudden are there tons of PDP supporters calling for Fashola when initially the party was strictly forbidden and a Muslim party? Is Fashola not a Muslim now?

The gift of the Trojan horse comes to mind. Be wise! Stand your ground win or loose. Let them be the ones doing all the work, send them back to the drawing board, because as soon as they see they are not winning they will come back with something new to occupy you. That's politics!

Brilliant. I have said the same to APC fans as well but some simply fail to see treacherous and duplicitous PDP stalwarts for what they are. For example, it is not difficult to note that many of those suddenly demanding Fashola be the Presidential candidate of the APC are precisely the same posters who shout "GEJ till 2019" and have stated brazenly and openly that "the SE is not interested in having anything to do with APC". Is their rudimentary deceit not obvious? Is it not clear why they fear Buhari who is a sure banker vote winner in the North and only needing the right Southern VP specifically to appeal to the "game changing region" i.e the SW? They are merely afraid of the right combo they worry can oust their messiah.

Wise APC supporters, as you noted, should focus on their own choice and calculations. We all know the reality of our nation. They shout Buhari is too old yet how many votes did the "young" Ribadu get in 2011 in comparison to Buhari who will, till death, remain an icon in the North and to detribalised and religiously tolerant southerners? Today, Buhari's skill set will be even more appealing to Nigerians given that GEJ, over 5 years, has gone on to prove he is corruption personified and that corruption is indeed the major reason most things do not work as they should in Nigeria . APC fans should focus on what matter which is their own affairs. They should note they are doing something right when no APC fan is found, like the village amebo, suggesting candidates for the PDP yet PDP supporters, reeking of fear and insecurity, are always attempting to mock the choice of Buhari or deceptively hide behind the "present Fashola" deception they think the APC will be foolish enough to adopt and easily hand GEJ another 4 years. In the lead up to the elections, it will be important for APC fans to project focus, confidence and be in a zero tolerance mood for mischief and distractions.

@OP.
Stop entertaining inane questions especially from the likes of Aljbokoharem. Are you the only poster who does not know him here? Even a Nigerian kid who deals with the reality of his Nation will know why the APC cannot adopt Fashola so it is pointless you explaining the point to adults who should know, if they mean well for Nigeria, that the APC must get its strategy right to present candidates, in the right order, capable of delivering the votes to oust the PDP. Has anyone told these mumu Fashola will suddenly disappear if APC win under Buhari? What we can all be sure of about a Buhari Presidency is that it will be about round holes in round pegs. Fashola will have an important role, utilising his skills efficiently, to play in such a government till he can aspire for higher in future when the time is right. Focus on what the APC is doing and the tunnel vision we will all need to get behind the eventual candidates the Party settle on. Stop entertaining duplicitous TANdroids and Jonathanians who are only 'catching fun' at the expense of naive and gullible APC supporters. Ignore them and focus on what/who is important.
Absolutely no need, at this stage, to explain the choice of the Party to anyone.

By the way wouldn't a Buhari/Fashola ticket be a Muslim/Muslim ticket which will give the likes of FFK ammunition to blast and attack APC with the same PDP supporters crying Christian marginalisation in APC?

FFK is a nobody everywhere, So no one cares about FFK. He cant even win an election in his own parlor.

If APC fields Pope and Bishop the PDP would still talk and attack

Buhari wins most Northern State and Yorubas dont care about your religion, Our tribe comes first before religion. Infact most Yorubas are very receptive to both religion. A typical Yoruba family has practitioner of all religion, Every religion visits Redemed Camp, Go to eat Sallah meat and every religion would visit Osun shrine a few weeks later.

Im sure you have seen Fayose a governor, Preaching as a Pastor, attending mosque and even going to traditionalist, Fashola as a Moslem doesnt miss Redeemed Camp, His wife practices xtianitiy and he doesnt miss Eyo festival too, Same with Aregbesola

E.g Osun State is about 50% Moslem yet a Xtian-Xtian ticket ruled them between 2003 and 2010 without anyone making a fuss.

A Moslem-Moslem ticket is only a problem to non Yorubas, As long as there is a prominent and acceptable Yoruba man on the ticket that speaks our language. That seals it

In 1993, MKO-Kingibe ticket was a Moslem-moslem one and he won at least 70% of Yoruba votes

You aint see nothing yet. GEJ was too much for Yaradua. You now wish to pair Fashola with Buhari, jokes apart, Buhari would die 100 times faster than Yaradua. Buhari is spent. He is just camouflaging soldierly swagger. GEJ is doing it, praying and smiling onward soldier matching on. 2015, Nigerians will surely know that there is God ooo and that "WASOBIA" is a Son of God like Christ!

Precisely. "Damned if you do and damned if you don't" so why should the APC make their choice with distrative elements in mind? The Party should simply follow solid plans to deliver candidates, in the right order, that can oust the PDP.
