You're correct. A quad core would have better performance than a dual core of the same generation, Even if they have the same speed. The gt 950m should be plenty powerful enough to play 2013/14 games on medium.

In gta 4, the fastest core 2 duo runs better than most of the quadcores, bar the extreme ones. Depends on hw the game was coded. If it was meant to take advantage of two cores only, the two core cpu with enough juice would suffice, sometimes beating the quadcores (I core series exempt, those guys are different beast, also diff architecture like u said). But the new games are all coded for quad cores over so, generally (presently) you are right.

We have all the hardware for any custom rig u can imagine but the question is can you afford it? These hardwares don't come cheap even in the US and usually stay longer on shelves in Nigeria thats why most nigerian retailers don't stock them but we do.
