Yekini was the one I grew up with....so it has to be him.

Segun Odegbami was pretty good in his time too.



As much as I love Kanu.....he is not my best (or even a ) No 9.

Yes, Yekini was not skill but back in his days, he played football the way it was played. I however believe he would not have succeeded if he was a striker in today's world and I am reluctant to see Kanu as a 9. He was a 8/10 player thats sometime played as a 9. He does better when playing off a striker ( Ozil/Arsenal Fabregas role ) or as a Pirlo/current Chelsea Fabregas role.

Yekini was a good scorer and had a knack for it but he was skill-less and couldn't quite ever work out a goal let alone produce assists. Kanu although he was not knocking in goals scored brilliant goals arising from uncanny sense of ball juggling.
