Economic activities and vehicular movements were temporarily grounded to a halt on Monday in parts of Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, as a former Minister of the Federal Republic and Senator, John James Akpanudoedeghe openly declared his intention to contest next year’s Governorship election under the All Progressives’ Congress (APC).

A mammoth crowd had besieged Udoedeghe’s convoy from his “Chapel villa” in Afaha Offot, causing traffic gridlock, following him all the way to the APC state secretariat along Atiku Abubakar Way in Uyo.

You must have been in exile in 2011 and read all the happenings on pages of papers or state-sponsored media.

Everyone who were resident in the state knew Akpabio was the brain behind those massacres. (RIP) to all those who lost their life).

Can you tell where the APC stationed and all the security men at the State Secretariat went to when those cars and tricycle were burnt? For now that is past.

Pls have you heard that Akpabio's men had started it again - attacking a guber aspirant (Helen Esuene) for coming to their LG for consultation and all those who received her sacked (Chapter Chairmen of PDP, Ikot Ekpene, Essien Udim)?

sorry 2 say dis, udoedehe is our inlaw, de last time he came 2 us, he was rejected bc he has neva visit any1 der b4 but choose 2 do once election is around d corner.

But 2 b honest with, can a patroitic citizen resort 2 burning government with or without security personnel around de scene. If u ask me, I wud say he soiled his name just with dat singular act.
