The original inhabitants of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, will for once will have a reason to be really happy as the Federal Government has come up with a comprehensive plan of moving them to their permanent site.

It's just another fraud in the making.

First and foremost who do they want to compensate? Is it the people of Garki, Apo, Durumi, Utako, Jabi, Mabushi or where? What is the value of the compensation? Are they trying to build cubicles the way they did in Kogo, close to Ushafa, Dei Dei now taken over by policemen or the houses in kubwa?

I think this government has taken the inhabitants of Abuja for a ride too long. With open deceit and greed FCDA has ruined their lives. I have not seen a set of humans so accommodating as the people of Abuja.

Compensation should start from giving them all slots given to all states in terms of employment and not a situation where anybody from anywhere takes what belongs to them in the name of no one owns Abuja. Same should be for admission, promotion, appointments and whatever.

Why can't an indigine be made Minister? That the people of Abuja are hospitable and easy going should not be taken for granted, to continously ignore their right to enjoy what everyone enjoys in his or her state is a call for anarchy in the nearest future.

You may be right to some extent but I don't think the people of Garki village who were the beneficiaries of Apo Resettlement areas sold their supposed houses, rather most of them rented them out. In fact when those houses where built some FCDA staff and those in power at the center took some for themselves, hence your conclusion they sold them. The issue of compensation is one big fraud that has been booming in Abuja just because the people of Abuja are not not knowledgeable enough to ask the right questions.
