In January, Nigeria's Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Sabundu Badeh came out and told the world that by April 2014, Boko Haram would be history and he stated that he was very confident that the war was won. April came and went, and another April is almost here sef. Nothing. In fact, his hometown of Vimtim in Adamawa State is now under the control of Boko Haram. So where is he going to do Christmas this year?

This same CDS came out and told us that they know where the girls are but they cannot go get them. So what happened to all the trillions they spent on security? So nothing was spent on recons and intelligence?

This same CDS came out and said there is a ceasefire with Boko Haram and that the military should disengage. The soldiers too stopped all engagement only for Boko Haram to outsmart them and attack with fury. Yesterday, they bombed Gombe wasting the lives of 30 Nigerians who know nothing of all this stupid politics the government is playing. I knew Mr. Jonathan was not in the right frame of mind and a very inept commander-in-chief when he made Badeh the Chief of Defence Staff. Why?

It was under the nose of this same Badeh Orobo when he was Chief of Air Staff (CAS) that Boko Haram attacked the Nigerian Air Force base in Maiduguri and burnt the fighter planes on the tarmac and destroyed the helicopters. The video is there on YouTube for the world to see. But what did Jonathan do? Instead of firing Badeh, he promoted Badeh to CDS and even gave him national honour. People with sane minds protested that time but they were told to shut up. Now we can see how brilliant a defence chief Badeh is.

All Nigerian military officers are good at is harassing innocent civilians like beating girls in Sapele for wearing mini skirts or burning BRT buses in lagos.

Please, what is a man of honour and a true warrior supposed to do when his own dignity is almost lost? Badeh, over to you. It is better for you to resign NOW before it gets worse or else, it will be recorded that it was under your time as defence chief that terrorists took over the Federal Capital Territory. If you cannot save your own people in your own village, then mister man, you cannot save NOBODY.

They call you a defence chief and you cannot defend your own village, so how will you defend an entire country? In a sensible nation led by a sensible leader, you would have been fired a loooooooooooooong time ago for gross incompetence, negligence and dereliction of duty and for being an unmitigated disaster to the nation's security.

The north has produced some of the best military tacticians in the Nigerian Army. The issue with Boko haram is the corruption and the greed to pack ad much as possible by the top echelons.

There is a revolt and anger amongst the rank and file and also junior officers about the way the fight against BH is being handled. There is no no zeal and readiness to fight till death by soldiers anymore who.see the way.some generals get too rich at their own.expense and fallen soldiers are not dignified in death.

I personally dont trust Aliyu Gusau and I really dont know why Jonathan appointed him in the first place!

Jonathan needs a very experienced war time General as his National Security Adviser at this moment. Someone like Martin Luthar Agwai. He can bring his experience as CAOS, CDS in the Nigerian Army and UN commander of Peace Keeping Force in Sudan. He will not be seen on day to day basis but he will be a wise consul to the President.

Gusau should be removed and Sambo Dasuki can be made defence minister with the responsibility to brief Nigerians often on the efforts of Government to defeat Boko Haram. Dasuki can co-ordinate this regular briefings alonside the military spokesman.

It just seems parts of Nigeria are being overun and no one is doing anything or saying what they are doing about it. The crisis in the North East needs more focus.

According to the US, the Nigerian Military directly arm BH and this is one of the reasons why they refused to sell arms to Nigeria. It makes no sens to sell arms to Nigeria and have the military pass them on to BH.

The military intentionally arm BH by surrendering the bases and allow BH to walk in and take the weapons free of charge and unchallenged. They know exactly what they are doing and even the illegal SA arms fiasco is part of the whole arming BH game..

The areas in question are all under emergency rule meaning military rule so why is BH in charge and gaining territory and not the Nigerian military in charge?

According to reports from displaced residents, orders are given to soldiers to retreat from advancing BH insurgents and abandon their arsenal without offering the slightest form of resistance.
Gunshots are merely fired into the sky and any patriotic soldier who wants to show bravery may be shot by his comrades.
Soldiers flee conquered territories faster than civilians and where they are kind they inform residents of an impending attack and advise them to flee. By this time, they are on their way out.

There is a limit to what corruption can do.
How come corruption did not stop us from conquering Ebola?
What I posted about saboteurs in the military is no speculation.
I have read similar reports severally.

In fact, I heard from some guests on TVC that that they learnt choppers were seen arming the BH insurgents in Mubi.
